There is a thing called "Thermal Pollution", where manufacturing plants take water from natural bodies, use it in their processing, and then return it, but at a different temperature from when it was taken out. This can have a bigger effect on the environment than just removing the water altogether.
It was dirt cheap as far as computers go. I was put off from buying one because: no disk for storage, terrible membrane keyboard, and redraw the screen after every keypress...
In the midwest where I live, I have noticed an increasing trend to hide cellphone towers inside modern church belltowers. This probably helps to offset the cost of building the church, because the cellphone carriers have to pay for upkeep, and maybe purchase the land.
I have never attended any of these churches, but I comically imagine that "Today's sermon brought to you by Sprint. GOD, can you hear me now?".
You're modded as funny, but this probably means even ANOTHER fricken display connector standard to support the bandwidth necessary to pipe video from your blue-ray player (or whatever) to your television.
When other Chinese companies run afoul of their customers, they just pack up shop and re-incorporate under a different name, and then sell the same damn thing again. What's to keep ZTE from doing this?
The medical industry doesn't need mandatory updates. It's the electrical grid's control systems with their SCADA controllers that are always connected to the internet (even though they shouldn't be) that need mandatory updates.
It's an *ENZYME*, not bacteria. It isn't alive. It doesn't reproduce. It isn't a virus. It does not infect organisms to cause them to make more of itself. It just helps a particular chemical change to occur.
Prices *HAVE* risen for batteries, and noticeably. I would often get 4 AA Duracell batteries at my local Micro Center for $2 a pack. They were in a generic package, but the cells were clearly Duracell. I recently visited that same store and saw that the packs were now retail boxes and the price had DOUBLED! You may argue that the cheaper cells were counterfeit, but they always lasted as long as actual Duracells.
It's someone else. Maybe Google. Maybe Amazon. Those 2 companies have very robust voice recognition technologies, so it seems plausible. Probably not Apple, though.
I have a phone with a custom rom on it, and have NEVER installed the facebook app, or even opened the facebook web page on it (because I don't have a facebook account). I have noticed that sometimes youtube will recommend videos with topics that I was recently talking about. I'm not even logging into youtube either. What *REALLY* freaks me out is on more than one occasion, I was suggested a youtube video about a very specific topic that I was only *THINKING* about, and never even vocalized. It might just be a coincidence, but I'm pretty sure my phone's microphone cannot do that.
FTP implementation in web browsers has always been terrible. It's difficult to select multiple files, and forget selecting multiple files in multiple directories. Uploads are often no supported. If anyone really wants ftp, they should use a proper client.
Dear James Cameron,
Please abstain from making Avatar 2, Avatar 3, Avatar 4, and Avatar 5. Thank you.

We'll have to fight back using Psychic communication links!
I *HAD* F.lux, but Microsoft rolled out a new feature in Windows 10 called "Night Light" which does the exact same thing. Try it.

Probably to compensate for rising gas prices.
Would Amazon's delivery tracker be called "Endoscope"?

You don't use a computer at your job?
Then how about a circle?

If it's a muscle that contracts the pupil, then it might atrophy, but then it could be exercised and restored later.
There were 2 robot arms assembling the chair, but there were 4 human arms on 2 humans. This is a totally non-scientific study!

The silver oxide that turns dark will affect your eyelids and turn them blue.
Drive like a pirate! Arrr!

Send Facebook a postcard that says "Opt Out".

I have had lots of hot peppers, but they have NEVER caused me blisters. Is this just a metaphor?

Perhaps the engineers succumbed to pressure from their friends or family. Or maybe they were outright threatened by activists.
