Apple promoted Halo pretty hard from 98? or so up to 2000. MS had the XBox underway by this time I believe and needed a AAA game to move units. They saw the hype built up around Halo and bought the company. They retooled the game, dropped Mac and Windows versions (for the time) and rushed it out in time for the XBox launch in Nov 2001. As I remember it they spent 500 million advertising the XBox that fall, most of the ads were for Halo the rest were for PGR and some boat type game.
Maybe it is because I am a Mac geek I remember the hype well.
As the old saying goes "No publicity is bad publicity". I have never head of this game but love Civ and MOO (majorly disapointed in MOO3) but I am considering picking it up. The fact my macines CDRom died and I can not play a number of games because of copy protection only makes me happier to find games without such annoyances.
I play Mario Kart or Advance Wars while waiting for people to show up for MC. During long pulls, wipe recovery or other downtime (damn AV queue). People still play WSG on your server? Damn only A[V|B] on bonechewer. Also i'm a mage and we got love this patch;)
I think so. Picked it up for a friend and my GF got it for her sister. Never played the game but I have seen enough word of mouth praise for it around here and other places that for $20 I think it is worth the chance.
Apple came up with and uses the G* prefix. Mot/IBM had their own names (PPC 755 etc). Apple may very well simply rebrand whatever chip from Intel they settle upon as the G6. Of course I am just guessing they may decide to go with Intels official name. My point though is Apple came up with the G names, not Mot or IBM.
Office for Mac is Carbon not cocoa. They like most all classic apps took the easy way out and carbonized the existing code base instead of throwing it away and starting over in cocoa.
On this vein I'm thinking give apple five or six years to milk the iPod cow, and get a solid base of x86 apps, migrate the user base and beef up hardware support and we just might see OS X released into the wild like so many slashdotters are salivating for.
Doubt it can replace illustrator. Do not believe it supports CMYK. Many export options. No clue about the last one, but you can almost poke around the website.
Not anymore. On the journey from 10.2 -> 10.3 Apple pulled a MS and removed setting default apps from system prefs. They now reside in Safari and Mail.app respectively. (Though other apps can set the default as well)

Not at all, Omniweb was one of the last to implement a tab feature. Arguments could be made about other features but not tabs.
To put it in reverse: Imagine if the PS2 library of "american" games numbered less than a dozen - no sports games, no beat-em-ups, no driving games, none of that stuff. How many USians do you think would buy a PS2 just so they could play Parappa the Rapper? My guess - about the same number proportionately as the number of Japanese who'll buy a 360 for FFXI. I believe that was called the Gamecube.

Btw I made a app very much like info.xhead as a learning app when I started playing around with Cocoa. Not sure if 20 bucks is worth it but best of luck to you.
A property of a sheet is it "freezes" the contents of the window ie you can not interact with the primary window only the sheet itself. Not sure if js spec specifies on this one way or the other but it could be the reason.
Yup, emailed. They had my old phone number from college so they were left with email. No links, no "we need your user/pass", just a simple "we suspect fraud call us" with the phone number.
Of course I would be outright shocked if anyone tried to phish/scam for my bank (Tiny Credit Union). For the hell of it I just double checked and sure enough the person who emailed along with the same contact numbers is on the Contact page.
Call your bank up. Mine emailed me last week on suspicion of fraud and sure enough someone had my number and bought train tickets in London. As I am back at home and almost never use my card I suspect it was stolen in one of these cases we have heard so much about lately. My card has been cancelled and a new one on its way, so aside from the inconvenience this has not hurt me but it's better to be safe then sorry.

Your not doing very well. You just coded a web-browser....

And at $20, what a steal!

As long as they hurt google they will do almost anything. Besides, they can break compatibility later.
it deleted it. And I think that was a iTunes update.
Too bad it has nothing more in common with AOE2 then the name. It appears to be a turn based game, not unlike games from the NES/SNES era.

Holy shit it's the paragraph from hell.
Worked fine for me on Mac OS.

tell dev to kick last years-years-years freshman in the ass for me ;)

okay you can't tease us like that. Put the goat pic up, if you can not host yourself there are plenty of free image hosts out there.

Yup, poked around the package after reading this. The bloat comes from all the pretty templates for every language.
