1. Terrorists are more inclined to attack US troops in Iraq than civilians on American soil. It's cheaper, quicker and easier for the terrorists than trying to strike on American soil.
READ: soldiers are more conveniently located for T's to kill in their own backyard, sparing them expense and 'civilian' life here. yea, better they kill soldiers...
2. The war in Iraq may bring stability to the country and a regime that is more US friendly.
the use of the word 'may' clearly indicates theory, not fact. beyond that, this is just so clearly idealistic and so far removed from reality...i mean really now
3. The war in Iraq will show the middle eastern countries that the US will follow through on military actions despite casualties.
again, this is just so ridiculous. just like we showed 'em in Vietnam, just like the Russians did in Afghanistan...
4. Other nations may abandon weapons of mass destruction projects, such as Lybia did and be less supportive of terrorists.
there is that pesky 'may' again, fact? a pressured, aging and weakened Khadafi has nothing to do with anything happening in Libya now does it?
5. With a friendly Iraq, perhaps gas prices will come down in the US (not likely though).
this is just inane...but you close with the most intelligent point of your response .
Do you really think the US government is doing "the wrong things". What exactly do you think they are doing in secret that is so bad for the general population of the US?
Heres one off the top of my head, it's called planning "the war in iraq"...need more?
"Power supplies tend to be one of those forgotten, but ever so important parts of machine construction..."
I don't think forgotten, unless you completely have missed the DIY/MOD craze of the past 3 years or so. Nothing has escaped the scrutinizing eye of the geek...and with all those AMD's and GPU's?
I'm sorry, I just don't understand your point? Contradiction? Huh?
Especially the last part, what am I doing that I criticized him for?
And, I don't need to know anyone in the masses (although I do), the abundance of dipshits on usenet following napsters demise and the fact that a year(s) long media circus followed is proof enough.

"If you weren't spending your spare time in the years 99-00 downloading MP3s like a champ, it's likely you were still in diapers or dancing with wolves. Oh, Napster, we loved ye when."
No self respecting geek would use Napster EVER, no one I know ever touched it, and we all downloaded MP3's *like a champ*.
It's called usenet...premium servers please. All of us *in the know* knew that once Napster went under, and it most definitely would, that all the kids hyped up on *free* would be flocking to usenet, flooding the groups with crap posts, begging for instructions and calling everyone *fag*. Sure enough, they did.
Napster single handedly brought piracy to the masses, made it a household word and brought the ire of RIAA etc. upon us all.
I cant believe that this story was intro'd like this. Napster is, was and always will be a blight and a bad bad period in mine and others opinions.
is it any surprise? i mean c'mon. every movie and tv show these days is pirated one way or another. is it cos of the P2P aspect it is special?
if its not on P2P its on usenet or IRC, big deal. if i wanted a headline about pirated movies premiering on the net, i will read wired. this is stupid...

You cant beat the weight, or the click when you type.

What? Small? How many recent games ship on one disk or dont consume over a GB of space?
Currently installed:
Medieval Total War - 1.96GB
Vice City - 1.57 GB
Half Life with Mods - 1.1GB
Mafia - 1.87 GB
Midnight Club 2 - 1.49GB
Never Winter shipped on 3, Splinter Cell on 3, etc.
Storage is cheap both CD and HDD, but games are hardly small these days.
Especially the last part, what am I doing that I criticized him for?

Sucks huh, having to wait an additional 5 seconds to get those meeting reminders and contacts.

furthermore, your name is stupid, site name even stupider. woulda been cool uhm, 5 years before the movie was released but now its just cliche.
unless I have completely missed something, I dont think there is any reason not to expect D3 on *nix. All other ID games do, why not this?
dude...shut the fuck up.
BF1942 was NOT made with modders in mind. Read the development history of the mods you are talking up for chrissakes...
"...Worth a glance if you're not already running Debian"
