Yeah, this is greeat. Let's get some power and clean water to these people, I think that is a bit more important.
Don't forget that this doesn't mean SHITE, this is so far from over.
To recoup the losses they are taking in the gaming market, thier xbox division is bleeding money and this holiday isn't looking to rosy for them either. You cannot sustain a gaming console on pc ports and fps's forever. The lack of Japanese support doesn't help much either. I really don't see them going beyond an xbox2 if at all.
People like you make me sick, just because your "normal" don't tell other people it's in thier head, I'm ADD and it sucks big time, tell me to deal with it and I'll deal with my fist.
Nintendo owners are used to a certain level of quality IMHO, and also the fact that we tend to get 3rd party titles well after they are out on other consoles doesn't help. Take Splinter Cell for example, after it's M$ xbox exclusive run, it came to pc and ps2 and LAST gamecube. Don't expect things to sell if your not willing to make the effort. This ongoing resentment twoard Nintendo is getting old.
I agree whole heartedly. I understand the draw of making your own software, hence everyone trying to make thier own apps. What we need is a core of applications that are focused on and used by the majority, mozilla for example. I've been using linux since someone gave me a redhat 5.2 CD. it has come leaps and bounds since then but it still needs focus to strive and survive. too much of anything is no good, there need to be a focus on one or two apps for each category. I love gnome, and others love kde, fine let there be two major window managers, as long as those developers work together to make things cross compatible. A good example is fluxbox/blackbox do we really need both? They are pretty much the same friggin thing. We need to work together not in little groups, otherwise we go nowhere. As much as I will get flamed for this I think redhat is on the right track windowmanager wise anyway, one dektop that is setup and easy and ready to use, applications right there for you. Tinkerers can still change it, but joe average is all set to go.
I was excited to hear that this was coming to linux, hell at the onset of the project it was coming to BEos. They frist promise the client on time with the windows version, then shortly after. Now I'm sitting her and seeing the occasional post about how it's not out yet, and some other roadblock has come up. Bioware, don't lie to people, be honest. This latest delay is pure bullshit, just say the client isn't coming and be done with it. If you truly were going to make a linux client on time, these issues would have been dealt with from the onset, not now.
Since when is Mirc a new program?!!? (xchat is better anyway)
Besides the look at the devlopers, why bother having an article at all. Nintendo has owned the handheld market from the get go, and there has been noone to stop it, even though the TurboExpress and NeoGeo pocket were my favorite stabs at it. The fact that Nintendo owns that market is fine with me, it's a last salvation for those who grew up on 2d graphics, and still love side scrollers, the developers trying to push 3D on it is a nice attemp, but I'll always prefer 2D on my handheld thanks.
Ummm, I visit nintendo.com all the time with mozilla without issue. Chill out
Games worth checking out...
Super Monkey Ball 1&2 soon to be 3 multiplayer lan baby
1080 avalance
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Viewtiful Joe
Ikaruga
LOTR:ROTK ----best version of this game
Cubivore, if you can find it, quirky title
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles will be out soon
Just a few that you can check out
Well, based on Advertising $$$ vs. Revenue $$$ they should be dropping the XBOX real soon.
They should really try not to go into EVERY market
The Japanses will buy ANYTHING with "SONY" stamped on it.
They butchered the original specs of this thing and it still sells.
Ugh, doesn't every home over there own like 3 or 4 ps2's now? Or have they replaced broken ones?!?!
The standards are stupid, more hairbrained ways to make more $$$. But my Dvd burner does both, so I nary worry about such things.
Looks like a mini gamecube.
God, I love mini machines

Wheee, Anyway, awful design, form factor is o.k. but no raised pad or buttons is awful. Also don't expect this thing to sell for under $300
UGH, Nokia is on smack latley.

Great service, no reason to leave. And the new i730 is sexy :)
