The GBA has an arm processor simular to the one in my Zaurus, which can play Divx with no problem. I don't claim my Zaurus could decode a 1024 x 768 file, but once a movie is run though Virtualdub and resized to fit the screen files run quite nicely. I would bet the GBA would have a simular expirance.
Better then Ezra is a band. I think thats an awsome name for the processor. I think it will start something... Intel may start using better then Pentium on its next gen chips, and then the generation after that... nevermind.
Is it possible that the Oracle is just part of the system? Sence she seemingly came up with a way of giving the humans the choice they need to accept the matrix, maybe she has taken the role of leading the One (all six of the ones) and his followers to the architech so the zion/matrix relationship can be reset.
Being a Marketing Major, I am forced to learn this type of thing... New Industries go though several stages. 1. Growth - growing demand with high profit margins. 2. Mature - high competition low profit margin... and in this stage jobs tend to leave for cheaper labor centers which I beleave is India in this industry. 3. Decline... market saturation... kinda self explanitory.
The software industry, is a little odd and follows a slightly different path but it still seems we are in the second stage. There will be fewer jobs availible, but there should always be jobs for the most talented programers...
"can run on more platforms than you can shake a stick at",
After shakeing a stick at my XBox, I can say without reservation, that while net BSD will run on many many systems, it will not run on more platforms than one can shake a stick at.
Unbeatable deal for less than $100 with unlimited data
I get unlimited internet with a $10 a month add on fee with my voice plan from sprint. Fair warning though, I understand that sprint's service reps are pains to work with, luckily I havn't had to find out.
Judging from the product's webpage they are marketing to gay cowboys.... I hope that everyone gets the same picture and nokia hasn't set up some rotating images because that guy is seriously funny looking with that hat...
The Bill of Rights will never get amended because the freaks on the Left would rather die than see freedom of speech/assembly/the press impinged upon, and the freaks on the Right would rather die than see the Right to Bear Arms/Freedom of Religion touched.
I beleive those you refer to as Freaks on the left or Freaks on the Right, are actually what I like to call Good Americans. I'm a conservative who would rather die then see any of my Liberties taken away... Speach, Press, Arms, Religion... I hope you didn't mean your post to say what it sounds like.
I know its cool not to want electro gadgets between you and the road but anti-lock breaks are different. Even many race drivers want them when the rules allow. I don't care how good of a driver you are, anti-lock breaks will stop a car faster and safer then you can. I think its as much a safty issue as performance.
I may be to late to get discussion on this but... How is google's cache any diffent from some takeing a photo in a public place. As far as I know it is 100% ok to publish a picture of anyone or any thing taken in a public place, rather the person or thing has given its permision or not. How is a webpage any different? As long as it is publicly accessible (no passwords or verification system) why shouldn't it be ok to cache it?
I think seti looks for signals outside the solar system. I remember reading that they have some sort of system set up to filter out any signals that don't come from the part os space they are checking.
I'd like one to work more like a radio Tivo. Say I always listen to Neal Boortz and Sean Hanity, then maybe the machine will sugest old Rush. Or if I always listen to the new rock station, maybe save the new rock show (or what ever the call radio segments) on a different station. Of cource without any real listings of radio shows, like a radio TV Guide, all that may be asking to much...
Its been awhile sence I read about the subject, but isn't the Turing test just putting people in front of a terminal to talk to either a real person or a AI, and then asking which is the real person. When the same number of testers chose the AI as the real person, then the AI passes the test. Sence when did the Turing name apply to every AI competion? Am I wrong? This isn't a flame just a question about definitions...
OK, you know how your car feels faster right after you wash it? Well I tried changing my wallpaper and cleaning the Icons off the desktop... It feels like a new machine... at least twice as fast. 'cource my machine is a Sony, but since its all in your head anyway I image it will still work on a Mac.
Actually, I have been investigating forms of higher speed connections. My plan is to actually set up the hardware and get it running on a simple DSL connetion so I can work on content. After everything is up and running and when I start getting enough traffic that DSL becomes the bottleneck then I'll upgrade. At the moment I know the system I want is overkill, but I would rather do it right now so I can put off a hardware upgrade in the near future. For the moment my server is going to sit in my dinning room, but a friend has offered me space in his office (A big unused closet) when I need to move (the buisness ultra broadband providers here are to expencive, its much cheaper in the City).
There are two kinds a people in the world.
1. The kind that think this will be awsome and can't wait to surf the web in their car.
2. The kind that is afraid of those who think this will be awsome and can't wait to surf the web in their car.

Didn't Fermat claim he had a proof for the last theorm, but just kept saying that he hadn't got around to publishing it, until he died?
on a similar note, I have a proof for the grand unifying equation I just wrote. I'll get around to publishing someday
if I got the story of Fermat's last theorem wrong then this joke won't make since, so just ignore it.

It shuts down IE faster then the X at the top right of the window...
If slashdot would offer a bittorrent streams for subscribers... Anyway, anyone already got it want to set up a torrent?
Fair and balanced.... like Fox News?

The previous sentence is preposition terminated.

I haven't tried it, the Z does run BOCHS and I think BeOS will run in BOCHS so... yes it might run BeOS

Its not the bits that count... Its how you use'em!
What? There was a new Star Trek movie?

Who is that girl in red? Book joke... If you have never read the book you won't get it. If you have read the book then... ok fine, its not funny.
i hope i'm not mixing this up with some other book... it must have been more then 7 or 8 years sence I read it.
