Let me see...You touched some of the bases, but I didn't see any criticism of the U.S. government. Also there were no paranoid rantings about encryption, or blatant homosexuality.
You're also not quite smug enough. "Sorry" is not a word fitting for slashdot. Worst of all, your post contains parts that could be interpreted as praising commerical software. This is a serious concern. Also you spelled "Microsoft" without a dollar sign, and your post contained no obvious typos.
In short, have a goatse and come back once you've learned something.

An anti-MS troll, here on slashdot? Around here, we call them "editors." Sounds like YOU have some things left to learn. You've even been modded up-- which, I need hardly tell you, is the very worst thing that can happen to a troll.

Flame linux? Have I ever been known to do such a thing? True, it is essentially a buggy, insecure implementation of a 30-year old OS, conceived when the PDP-11 was cutting edge technology. Yes, it requires users to have a detailed knowledge of OS internals just to perform mundane functions like burning a CD or securing an internet connection. It's also the preferred target of hackers, which new users often discover "the hard way."

"Bitter and insecure." Yes, I suppose that's a good description of me. But then, I did install Red Hat last year. And the bitterness is natural, simply because... well, I'm Mode0x13. Enough said.

Speaking of "Open Sores," I have one word for you: RMS.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! If this dirty old man endorsed ANYTHING, I would be the first person to stop using it. If you need material to "enrage the righteous and amuse the wicked" I suggest doing a search for his name on google. You won't be disappointed. But you're going to have to try really hard to be more left-wing than the editors/turkeys.

So in conclusion, your post is amusing and chatty, but it is NOT a troll, nor are you. There's a difference between being a pretentious college twat with too much time on his hands, and being a real sociopath. The function of the former is to be trolled by those smarter than himself, that of the latter, to troll.

Of course, this is only to be expected... sexual perversion is intrinsic to the open source mentality. The source isn't the only thing that's "open" (know what I mean, wink wink, nudge nudge...)

Hahaha... you haven't realized yet that teenagers are idiots. And the corollary is that your so-called political principles are really idiotic as well.

If you are a real "nerd" and not a wannabe, you will probably get a job producing intellectual property of some kind. At that point you can believe anything you like about politics... it won't matter. Your job, your life will be creating or implementing programming ideas. When you were a kid you didn't care what the school janitors thought about their work. Why should management care about what programmers and engineers think about intellectual property?

In the final analysis software is just software. Get off your fucking high horse and realize that GNU/chumps are wasting their lives. The only people who benefit from free software (note the lower-case "f") are companies like IBM who realize they can make a buck off of it. IBM is a hardware company, not a software company. There's nothing they'd love more than to get rid of some unnecessary programmers. Now, thanks to the "GNU" foundation, they can.

What's wrong with laws like the DMCA, anyway? Companies deserve to have their intellectual creations protected by law. You wouldn't shoplift from the grocery store, so why do you feel morally obliged to pilfer from the video and music stores? Oh, I forgot. It's not wrong any more when you do it in the privacy of your own home.

I guess I've used too many big words in this post for it to be a really effective message to slashdot readers. But then, I'm new at the propaganda business, unlike the editors of this site.

    Until next time,

It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is _consumed_. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area.

There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet... you are a plague, and WE are the cure.

Despite all of the witty rhetoric and insightful commentary on this site, many of the readers have lost touch with one important fact. What is it, you ask? Well...

Frankly, LINUX SUCKS. It is the buggiest, most unstable operating system ever created for IBM PC (c). It is not hard to see why.

Most linux developers lost their saving throw versus pathetic nerddom a long time ago. You'll find them huddled in their parent's basements, living on candy bars and Captain Crunch. You wouldn't let these feebleminded boys mow your lawn, so why should you allow them to design your operating system?

Look at the calender, people. The year is 2002, not 1979. Nerdly losers are, well, losers. There will be no golden pocket protectors for this decade's foul crop. Distributing your source code for free is just an indication that you realize how much it sucks, have accepted the aforementioned suckage, and are moving on to your next job at Denny's.

However, misery loves company (unless it's the company le miserable in question used to work for.) Hence, the open source "headmen" spread fear and hate through their communistic followers. They are merely trying to get revenge on their smarter, cleaner, colleagues, who are weathering the economic downturn. Make no mistake. When slashdot calls for the downfall of Blizzard or Microsoft, it is not because these companies are "unfree," it's because their very existence mocks the stale dreams of the would be "'leetists." It's nerd against nerd. What a sad, sad spectacle.

But there is something you can do about it. Visit your local computer store today and buy a licensed copy of Windows XP, the most innovative operating system ever created. It's hard to get help when your operating system is created by a bunch of teenagers who can't even match their socks or get a date. But when you're using Windows XP, customer service will gladly help you with any problem you may encounter. Not only that, but you'll be in the company of scientists, engineers, administrators, and everyone else who just doesn't give a fuck about configuring his /etc/fstab. Remember, linux is only "free" if your time is of no value. Also, linux is only secure if your computer is not connected to the internet. Give up your futile, sexually repellent nerdisms and return to the company that started it all.
