Oversampling allows for the effective reduction of the noise floor by speading the power of the quantization and thermal (a.k.a. KTC) noise over a larger bandwidth. A digital filter can then remove the high end noise, leaving the noise in the audio band at a lower level. Each doubling of the sampling rate allows a 3dB, or 1/2 bit, improvement in the SNR.
- Get 100 people to buy a total of, say, 1000 different albums.
- The money is pooled, so each person owns 1% of each album. -
These songs reside in a central server or network, so that that each person has access. -
When a song is used, it is "checked out". Each song can only be played for one person at a given time. When the song is over, it is checked back in. Therefore no duplicate copies are created.
Using the above method, a legit liscense has been aquired for all the material, and, except for the phyisical aspects, acts just like a library. Any thoughts??
Appears that they will use a 40 bit address bus. Since, for now, the 14 MSB bits could never be used, (jeeze, its aready 1000 sticks of 1G RAM) they can save the routing space and pin count. Every 18 months, just add one more bit line. Stir as needed.
I believe it is due to the inductive crosstalk between the channels. With ribbons, only the two adjacent wies are a major concern, while a cable would have many more conductors in close proximity. The interfence will add linearly with each noise source
We designed a SCSI controller for a motherboard. A board munufacture found some failures at higher temperatures, so while trying to replicate the failure we put a PC (well, all the components, but no case) in our temp-forcer and let the testbench run overnight. We belive it was the power supply that blew first, but somehow the inside of the oven reached over 700F before security shut it down. It reflowed the solder on the board, and the P3 simply melted. The die was totally exposed and about 2 inched from were it should have been.
-There is no sign the oven failed. -The mainborad doesn't work, as all the caps exploded, -the hard drive worked for a few weeks, but failed. The platters seem be warped, but -The RAM and video card (ATI I believe) are still in use!!.
New rule, no more unsupervised temperature tests:(
So he made it onto the grounds and into an abandoned buiilding. They have problems with coyotes doing the same thing. Most of the grounds are not guarded or even fenced in. Its parameter is some 40 miles. There are even trailer houses in the unsecure areas, for civilian paperwork and such, sometimes known are the Leper Colony. The secure parts are, however, quite secure. Surveillance, armed guards and razor wire galore. This area is still not very interesting. The good stuff is wrapped in a couple more layers. Even someone with Q clearance cannot take a recording device or cell phone in there.
The fact that they came down over Texas instead of Florida
Means they were coming in for a landing in Florida. They where gliding at Mach 17 when it broke up. They start their decent somewhere over the Pacific. You cover alot of ground at Mach 17
But gravity does not travel only from mass_A to mass_B. Gravity radiates outward in all directions from mass_A. Assuming a circular oribt, then gravity at mass_B(time=0) and mass_b(time=t) is equivalent, and mass_b cannot tell the difference.
This would do absolutly jack shite in helping with my "Excessive Acceleration" ticket. And just one more than to remove, such a Chevy's "Automatic Skip Shift" on manual transmissions. Maybe I want to be in second instead of forth, God Damn it. So what, govern it at 70 mph? That really help prevent one from going 50 in a school zone.
And please tell me where this private road is I can drive twenty miles to work??
And comparing slight speeding to running a red light is the most asinine thimg I have heard this week.
Semiconductor photocells can easily be >90% effecient, but over a rather small range of wavelengths. This is due to the bandgap. An electron is freed if the electron gains enough energy from the photon(s) to overcome the bandgap. the energy of several photons can be combined to free and electron, but is lossy. If the photon has more energy than is required to free the electron, the extra will mostly be dumped as heat. The equation governing wavelength, energy, and Boltzmann's constant is
E=hw
Silicon is actually a rather poor photomaterial, being an indirect material, it's limited to about 60% effeciency at any wavelength. The electron must not only gain energy, but also move a slight bit within the crystal in order to reach the conduction band. Direct materials, such GaAs, being direct, can be > 95%
Take four sheets of solid black paper. Tape them end-to-end. Feed fax machine. When the first edge comes out, tape it to the other edge, making a nice circular fax. ....

But lasers are not regulated by the FCC (at least here in the U.S., don't know what agency you guys up at the pole have) so feel free to install any jamming device you see fit.
Oh, come on. You can probably make it a month without food. And tap water is cheap. Get the card.
Hard drives burn to much power to be very pratical in anything portable. The iPod's battery life isn't to great, considering its size
to anyone who has done any basic signal theory
I would recommend the next level class.

Iraq may soon have a much stonger case for being a celestial body.

Exponential growth would be an increase of e^1, or 2.718282x per year. Doubling or tripling each year is a geometric increase.

but no one is going to shoplift tires
:)
You'd be suprised. The last thing the security guard would watch is two chicks carrying out a set of tires.

The Fab 5 was when five freshman, including Chris Webber and Juwan Howard, started for Michigan's basketball team in the 1991-92 season.

Err, yeh. Thanks for the corrections. That should be
E=hf, frequency (hz), not wavelength, or
E=h_bar*w, angular frequency (radians/sec,) h_bar= 2*Pi*h.

Perhaps the are other techniques??
In Topeka, Kansas, there are two high schools which compete with each other in several sports and other events.
Typical headline reads "The Topeka High Trojans Overcome Topeka Seaman".
I can only imagine their censorship problems.
you aren't fined for murdering someone.
Oh yes you can. Ask O.J. Simpson.
Sorry, full optical logic has been done, using CMOS technology. Just a matter of shrinking it a bit.

No. Some smoke detectors use a photoelectric sensor to detect the change in light level caused by smoke
I bet that work's great in a DARK ROOM!!
I'll let you keep that model.
