John Kerry certainly change things with republicans in senate. At least stop more legislation with our friend the veto. Also, the same congressmen wont be in office their whole term.
Instead of equiping people with decibalmeters, why not just do what our town does: If the cop can hear your car stereo from 15 yards away, you get ticketed. Quite simple actually.
What exactly is "properly selected?" Is properly selected a standard set by a team of developers designing a browser with a huge majority of users of the internet? Or is it an "independant" group who makes up a list of things they think should be done in a browser?
Credit card size, fits in my wallet. Keeps a phonebook, calendar, grocery lists, todo list, and perhaps a regular old text files. A stylus would be necessary for input too of some sort
News about a GF4MX is very encouraging to those of us who are using that card (that exact card in my case) or something lower.
Surprisingling good gaming experience. Hell, it would probably reminiscent of the days when the origninal Doom came out and the gamplay was all choppy. I remember being floored at how smooth the game was after we upgraded to a pentium. It was... in a matter of speaking, uncomfortable to play that smooth.
I can feel myself getting all nostalgic already... Doh! The music's stuck in my head again;-)
I havent tried out Slackware 10 yet, but in recent history with versions 8 & 9, installing was a breeze. Sort of. I dont recall any simple way to partition drives if I didnt quite know what I was doing, and half the battle of the install was getting these "easy to install" slackware packages configured. Call me lazy, but I just like it to work, so I can see what I'm dealing with first. Especially with the X server.
Well rounded? It has KDE and Gnome + some server apps. Well rounded is a bit farfetched. (not that this is a bad thing)
Alright, I confess thats a slack9 rant. I'm sure 10 is the grace of god.:D

Took the words right out of my mouth. These people have a nice variety of things, offered for free. And you can buy them if you like it enough
Comfort yourselves with the knowledge that most of us did not vote for Bush.
I think that this is a tech trend that Microsoft is not paying attention to. What exactly are you basing this statement on?

After calling a huge list of people on a college campus to remind them to come pick things up, I can attest that this happens a lot

News by definition is new material. "New" however can be a very relative thing. Also, if anyone reads one of the daily's they're a day old too.
