I think the point is. The EULA is present after the software has been paid for and opened. And then most retailers will not take it back. That's like buying a car(and probably paying cash), driving it off the lot, and then a sign pops out of the steering wheel that says, for instance, "You can't drive this car using tires. You must install square blocks for wheels. If you do not agree, do not drive the car". I don't agree. Dealer won't take it back, i've already driven it off the lot.
if the EULA were on the box that could be read through the shrink wrap, I have no problem with it.
Everyone knows people buy naked pc's to install pirated copies of windows.
Only a handful of geeks will actually install linux on these machines.
Not that I support MS's(please note, I wrote MS, not M$ to be uber-k3wl like you) bid against naked pc's, as we should be able to purchase them naked(just as I build them naked. No really, I'm naked when i build them: pics), but they have a point.

yes but language by nature morphs throughout the years. So what is "proper english" now won't be the same in 200 years. The internet has already changed a lot of our vocabulary. After all, you don't hear or read a lot of Old English anymore do you?
