Don't let the America part of their name fool you. Every other recording industry association in the world is extremely influenced by the RIAA, hell they're more than likely run by the RIAA. The RIAA seems to have this feeling that they can control the world and everything that happens in it, but ten years from now when music is completely free and their business model is shot, they'll be sorry they imposed all these stupid fines, fees and taxes.
you cant even get cell fone plans that are cheaper then $35/mo.
Where I live the local telco put together their own PCS network and charges $19.99 a month for 2000 minutes and when leaving the service area, the roaming rates are very reasonable, much less than other nationwide providers.
A Windows 2000 license is around $150 area. Most Linux distros are free. Yes tech support to get Linux up and running costs money, it should still cost substantially less than Windows 2000.
I agree completely. It's obvious that no major space missions are going to get off the ground(pun intended)just by relying on NASA and the other space agencies around the world.
The commercialization of space is just what we need if we want to get to Mars by 2025 or if we want to establish a lunar colony. Sure this is only a small step in an area where many small steps will have to be taken for it to be successful, but this little bit will help a lot down the line.
SMS and GG had nearly the same processor specs. Their games were cross compatible with very little rewrite. So in a sense the GG was a portable SMS, much like the Nomad was a portable Genesis.
A few hundred geeks, thousands of cans of Jolt, no sleep and fragging. What happens when one of them goes crazy and starts some real life carnage? I can't wait.

Child: But Dad, I'm afraid of the dark.
Father: Oh, you don't have anything to worry about.
Child: How come, Daddy?
Father: Well you see son, our house was built with radioactive trees, so the entire house is like a big night light.
Child: Is that why my hamster got cancer?
Father: No more questions, time for sleep.
may have insecure server products(and desktop products for that matter) but whatever Security Office was running is nothing more than a smoking pile of silicon and hard drive.
I do agree with you when you say an Orion rocket would pollute the Earth and I also agree when you say that conventional rocketry wouldn't be able to lift it. Then, why not build it in space? We do have the technology to build something on that scale in space, even though the cost would be huge. That eliminates two problems right there. Of course the big challenge will be getting other countries to support the use of nuclear rockets in space.
and I have a large penis. See there's a direct correlation there. Lindows is cheap and easy just like me!
In Soviet Russia, over using a joke warrants death.

I think I may have eaten too much turkey for I am seeing doubles, especially on Slashdot.
You're Canadian, aren't you?

It's no longer a bug but an undocumented feature. :)

Actually it has defrag.exe but does not have ScanDisk.
Bout time that thing died, then again I thought it was long gone already. Oh well, I hear the new LOTR movie is on Kazaa *scurries away*.
Damn that must have been some hot hot file trading to burn the internet equipment.
Whatever happened to the old PictureCD format? It seemed to work pretty well everytime I've used it and most DVD players support it.
There was no lifeboat or amount of bandwidth that could save their server. God bless its smoldering soul.

Actually, I use an Apple all day long at work. But apparently you didn't get the joke.
I thought that was Apple's motto.

Next time somebody threatens to shove their foot up your ass, it may bring new sensations.
