Therefore, it is very unlikely to bring any safety risk at all, except for people opening the device
People do open things to see how they work. I don't want the neighbor kid sitting in his room playing with a radioactive battery. It's human nature, if something can be opened to see how it works, it will be opened, plain and simple.
Apple claims CIFS compatibility, but they horribly broke WINS in their Samba implementation. If you add a WINS server you can't browse across subnets. All you can see is the WINS server itself. If you remove WINS you can browse your local subnet normally.
For some reason, I seem to be the only person who cares about this. I have never seen it mentioned and nobody responds when I post about it. My local Apple Tech rep didn't even know aout it. I did find it documented in this technote.
How many people that own these routers will actually update the firmware? Or how many even will know that their router has a problem. I know several people with Linksys routers and I know if somebody doesn't tell them to update something, they won't update it on their own. Even if the people who know how to update their routers and know that there is a problem update them, that still leaves the majority of users in the dark. Not a good idea.....
And since the whole hacking of the original codec, I believe they have rewritten the entire codec to stop the infringement on copyright laws. Please correct me if I am wrong though.
Another great use for the AOL CDs is for shooting skeet. A few years back my dad and I went out in the country and decided to shoot some skeet. I brought along 20 or so AOL CDs to see how well it would actually work. It's such a great joy to see AOL CDs blow to pieces thanks to a shotgun. It's good clean geek fun.
On the Minneapolis Wireless Airport network, you get the first day of access free! Everyday after that is $10 tho, but still if you have a long lay over the $10 is more than worth it. I've used the network several times before and the download speeds aren't too slow(usually 125k and up).
Please describe for me the legal remedies I have available for your shirt. Seriously, what would I claim? Explain to me what route I would take. What court would I file with? What would my legal briefs look like?
You could just try claiming assault of the eyes and file with your local small claims court and who knows it might actually work. As for your legal briefs, whatever you wear under your pants is your business, not mine.
LOL It's definitely not just regional. People "pimp" out the crappiest cars around here. A 16 year old kid with a Honda Civic and many stickers is supposedly cool. Go figure huh?
Well I consider spam any email that I didn't exactly expect or want. So somebody "sending a story" to me, is spam in my sense of the word. I didn't ask for that story nor did I expect it.
If you thought hearing one cell phone ring was enough to make you go mad, then you might want to head over to the site and listen to some of the MP3s they have. 20 cell phones going off simultaneously, its enough to make anybody go crazy. It does sound kinda cool tho.
Day....light? What is this mysterious light that you speak of? What color is it? What does it taste like? I do not believe I have experienced such a thing before.
I do not recommend that anyone try strapping 3-D sized engines on to a Big Bertha rocket. I was in the same science class a few years ago with a kid who thought it'd be funny to see how high it went with 3 D engines. It went about 10 feet up, started to fall and then took off again going horizontal and not vertical. Well about 300 feet later it hit a parked car, which happened to belong to my science teacher. Needless to say my teacher wasn't too happy after that incident.
Second post and already considered redundant? Apparently who ever moderated that forgot what slashdot truly stands for.
Hehe, Aerial photos and a beach, hmm, that could be fun. :)

The terrorists have won when Windows can boot faster than the Bios POST.

I can name three Os's that run Flash right off the top of my head, Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.

Damn it now you had to go and mention something cool like that and I just have to have one. :-)
The story post had "math fetish" and "mathematical objects" in it. I think that explains it.
Wouldn't these open sores you talk about require sexual contact of some sort? Yeah like anyone who visits Slashdot has had that happen.

Now I finally have a use for all that old pizza stacked up in the corner of my room......

I would hope that somebody in my family would have enough sense to call me for something like that.

I have noticed a considerable amount of hand fatigue............Especially in my right hand.
Somehow I don't think you're the only one with that problem.
The following message was a joke.

Oh come on, thats the worst first post ever. You gotta atleast spell it right for it to count. Jeez
You mean...dare we say....the real f word...fart?
software licensing couldn't become anymore complicated, it did! So how many different licenses can I put a piece of software under today? Like 50?
Yes I understand that some of these licenses are actually useful, but its getting to the point where there are more dumb ones than good ones.
