I must've missed the news stories about this "war".
Hopefully this will have less negative consequences than the War on Drugs.
Or, perhaps, podcast apps decided to add a different, easier way for the average user to subscribe to podcasts because the average person doesn't find RSS to be particularly user-friendly.
Meanwhile a Finnish sauna is typically kept around the boiling point for water, and unless water is poured on the rocks, it can be in the 230F/110C range. And, of course, people go naked in Finnish saunas.
This is the way we'd do it. My grandparents' (they were Finns) used to have one at the family cabin by Lake Superior in the U.P. In the summer, you'd run down to the lake naked and dive in. You were hot enough that it didn't matter if the water was below 50 deg. Fahrenheit. In the winter, you'd just jump in the snow bank to cool off. It helps to close the pores on your skin after you've had them opened up by the steam.
I am a customer of 23andMe, and to be honest, I couldn't care less what they do with my data.
Apparently a lot of other people don't either. Many people will upload their results to GEDMatch which compares you with everyone else in their database to find relations. It's a lot different though when someone else gives your information away without your consent. Also, I'm a bit skeptical about the veracity of these tests. I had one done through Vitagene, and some of the things they have in my results don't square at all with reality. According to my genetic profile, I'm supposed to be gluten sensitive, which is not the case. I can eat a lot of bread/cereal/pasta without negative consequence.
It is a mistake to think that Russia is on their "side". They are interested in conflict, not one side winning over the other.
This is true, but you need to be careful, because it conflicts with the mainstream/. narrative. You'll most likely be downmodded & have an AC call you a Russian troll.
I have PS Vue as well. I like it for the most part, but really wish they had an a la carte option. I could do without the majority of channels--Hallmark, Lifetime, Oxygen, OWN, etc. It's also a little wonky in that it works differently on my PS3 vs. the PS4. On the PS3, I seem to get every single local channel that is available across the country. I have hundreds of different ABC/CBS/NBC affiliates listed, which is a pain. The other mind-numbing thing about it is how feature poor the PS4 remote control is. Some Vue functions depend on the R1, R2, L1 & L2 keys, but they don't even have those on the remote. It is actually a step back from the PS3 remote.
The 32GB ram option is here now, but there is still so little options for a real pro portable mac. Make a "fat macbook" with USB-A, 17 inch screen and optical drive and long battery life and it will sell like hot cakes.
I still use my 17" 2011 MBP as my main computer. Sure it only has 8 GB RAM & 1 GB Video RAM, but has magsafe, Gigbit Ethernet, FireWire, Thunderbolt & USB-A x 3, as well as a headphone jack, an optical drive, a physical ESC key and a flash memory card reader. Obviously not using some of those things any more (Ethernet, DVD Drive & memory card reader almost never get used), but the rest are features I use often. Firewire is good for transferring data between computers & also target disk mode. If not for magsafe, my computer probably would have been dead years ago. I'd really like to see Apple make a 17" with updated specs.
What, the original Common Carriers? Did you think through whatever argument you were trying to make before you started typing or did you just pick some random thing?
If I hadn't thought it through, and picked something random, I might have said starfish or jack-o-lantern. I picked trains for a specific reason.
Further proof that machine learning and AI has real world use. This is replacing the suffering of millions of animals today. Truly useful.
Don't worry, soon we'll start seeing AI rights activists, and companies that use chemicals will have to have disclaimers stating "No software was harmed in the testing of this product".
The ISPs are carriers of speech across state lines, as such they are solidly within the scope of the commerce clause. The right to free press, free assembly, free speech, and the freedom to travel between states are ALL negated by what this justice is suggesting, that these carriers can block and even alter speech, press, and commerce in flight across state lines.
Microsoft is not in the business of data mining. Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, all ISP's, and all credit card companies are. You don't know what you're talking about.
So all those ads they have on Bing are just served up at random? Pro-Tip: Everyone is data mining.
>Bitcoin has no value. It is just smoke and mirrors. Paper money is only mildly better, especially now that it has no gold backing.
The difference between Bitcoin & cash is how easy it is to lose your Bitcoin. Lose the private key to your Bitcoin wallet, and you'll never be able to recover it. Lose the key to a safe that money's kept in, at least you can still open the safe. Sure, you can burn money and destroy it, but lost money can usually still be found.
Gold backed was also not real. Gold in fact has no real value other than what it can actually be used for to make things of use. To find something with real value we need to go back to beans, firewood, pork, tools, etc. These sorts of things have real value.
Isn't that true about anything, including beans, firewood, pork, tools, etc.? How much value do beans have to someone allergic to them? How much value does firewood have to someone who lives in an apartment building? How much value does pork have to a Muslim, a Jew or a vegetarian? What value does an impact wrench have to a paraplegic? Gold is almost universally recognized by most cultures throughout history as being a valuable commodity. Women seem to especially like it, and most men like women, so gold has value to them as well.
My grandparents said the same thing. They used to ride horses to school and go fishing at lunchtime. We were slackers that bludged along on those new fangled bicycle thingies and simply ran around a field with a ball at lunch instead of having real fun.
Unless your grandparents grew up in the 1850's, bicycles wouldn't be considered "new fangled thingies".;-)
Some background: I saw the original "Star Wars" in college. It was a jaw-dropping movie, (unless you're old enough to remember what science fiction / fantasy movies were like before the release of SW, you really can't appreciate how amazing an experience it was to see it in the theater), and "The Empire Strikes Back" was even better.
I was 6 when Star Wars came out, and was totally amazed by it, and obsessed. Star Wars action figures from Kenner, Star Wars t-shirts, Star Wars lunchbox, etc. I was 9 when The Empire Strikes Back came out, and I saw it in the theater over a half dozen times.
But "Return of the Jedi" was a let down, in large part because Lucas had full creative control and couldn't resist inserting "cutesy" characters like Ewoks into the story, and adding a ridiculously sappy ending.
I was 12 when ROTJ came out, so the Ewoks didn't really bother me. I also saw this one several times at the theater; the speeder bike chase scene was unlike anything I'd seen up until then.
The series lost me though with the prequels. They were a complete disappointment. There were many annoyances; Jar Jar, "midi-chlorians", virgin birth, the Japanese, Italian and Jamaican aliens, Anakin being called "Annie", the 50's diner scene, "younglings", and especially "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Still, I stuck with them, hoping things would change.
I saw The Force Awakens a couple of weeks after it came out. It was okay, but not great. I didn't see Rogue One (so-so) until it was on Netflix, and I haven't seen The Last Jedi at all, nor Solo. I might still go to see it if it's playing at the local theater this weekend, otherwise I'll wait until it comes to Netflix, if it comes to Netflix.
we have minds that allow us to deal in things other than black and white.
Except when it comes to the regulators.
That's what happens when the government is in the pocket of business. If it isn't, then that doesn't happen.
You almost got it right. The problem is that government has enough power that it's worth being bought. Reduce the power, reduce the corruption.

Why in the blazes they would even think about using blockchain (other than some C*O critter not knowing what buzzwords mean)?
You answered your own question.
"It's degrading to the reputation of our area," said Tad Bogdan, who has lived in the neighborhood for 14 years.
He should be happy they didn't decide to call it Poop Map!

What are we really using more of that the Earth produces?
Just to make sure we weren't, I turned my kitchen faucet on. Thankfully, it was still running!

America has become a country where if you are rich life is good, and if you're not rich, you have the freedom to die in the streets.
Every country has always been like that for the entirety of human history. There's no such thing as a socialist utopia.
But there's several examples of socialist dystopias.
Simply believing what you're told, especially if it fits your personal point of view, is much easier.
That's hard for people who have been conditioned to believe what they are told from a young age. You know, like in a church...
Or a public school...

By making it even less intuitive, they're increasing the use of their search engine, which means more advertising revenue for them. Simple.
Genius!
Have you forgotten all the ads and fake media campaigns?
No, who could ever forget the Highly Effective fake media campaigns? Here Are 14 Russian Ads That Ran on Facebook During The 2016 Election

If two chemicals are found to be similar, it is reasonable to assume that both would have the same biological properties.
Exactly how similiar? Like H2O & H2O2, for instance? (Note: I tried to use tags for the 2's, but they don't appear to work here...).

I can see patenting a gene they created, or patenting a non obvious use for that gene (putting whale DNA into a cat to create a cat with a blowhole).
Stop giving them ideas. The last thing we need is to find ways to make cats more annoying.

We had decades of stability until Regan came along and started repealing depression era laws designed to stop another depression.
