Since many of you will say the same damned things over and over... might as well just look at our past discussions. Honestly, everything so far has just been rehashes of prior conversations/arguments. What a fluff piece.
Even with my contacts a bit blury I was still able to spot all 3 images.
Though I could care less about the bloody hand... the picture just didn't look right. Of course it could mean I'm just not very sensitive to detached limps.
Maybe it's from too many shooters, but I'm pretty sure I could have scored a head shot there.
Do you know how long it took me to get my video editing box's stable.
Not even just system tweaking, proper drivers that don't flip out, but just nixing the heat issues.
So yeah, I have fairly stable prem pro 1.5 systems with canopus dvstorm2 cards. It's possible sure, but it takes some planning and work because the load will bring out bugs faster then a workstation that uses word all day.
Haven't yet dived into building HD editing stations, but I'll let the solutions mature (and cheapen) a bit before that.
Some pudgy guy was quoted as saying, "If google is doing it, I will eat it and I'm sure they will destroy the competition."
Subway was unavailable for comment, but an anonymous source said they were on the verge of releasing a competing search engine to combat this new competitor in their own arena.
The pudgy guy was no longer available for comment as he was stuffing his face with google sandwhiches.
In the slashdot article that preceeded that benchmark many moons ago...
Wasn't it argued that the test itself was quite foobared due to the memory restrictions. In many cases, wasn't it really just benchmarking the swap file? I really don't know how well chipset support was arranged at the time. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Linux... but that was not exactly a benchmark you want to toss around like it's gold.
Unfortunately, I do know some idiot that does read his spam and buys things from it.
I asked why on earth would you even dare read it. You are contributing to the problem by making it profitable.
His unfounded response was that he gets good deals sometimes. (Which is total BS upon inspection... any research on the product shows it can be had for the same or lesser cost)
Spam buyers are the same people who get sucked into paypal, nigerian investment and every other scam on the market.
Having said that, I've seen the guy taken for everything but nigerian scammers and he rarely asks for my advice until after the fact.
What they are doing for HD cams right now in that realm. Wireless signal back to a central pick up point. The wireless unit attaches to the cam and the signal is of course picked up and recieved by the central system. There it's tucked away in your HD codec of choice. I'm sure there are some cam's that already have it, but the last time I read anything in that realm was an attached ad on.
At least, that's one option and kinda handy for any live broadcast or news feed.
All of those things are prohibitevly expensive because the word broadcast was attached to them. SD options are also available.
MPEG2 with a 4:2:2 profile at 15mb/s is quite sufficient for studio editing. Because the mpeg2 codec was a little open ended it's changed quite a bit over the years. (ever wonder why you might need to install a canopus mpeg2 codec and the matrox one as well (well vfw codec if you don't have a card that understand matrox mpeg)
The problem with shooting mini dv period is the chroma loss that accompanies the format.
Also, Sony has some nice HD cams with hard disks too. Virtually no moving parts and retrieval is a snap. Exactly like the retro fit.
All in all, that disk kit is probably the best option for this guy. It's either that or someone can manufacture a belt pack for an 802.11g wireless video/reciever kit.
Unless he has some software to do the transcode on the fly. A firewire dump of cam will be at exactly dvcam speeds *25mb/s if I recall* which could be quite hefty.
I think he was looking for something a little more portable in mind.
Also, I have to wonder about his gummed up tape heads as it really sounds like he is alternating some tape stock. (different brands and variants use different lubricants... which is why I always try to keep the same deck type with a certain tape stock)
It's not really clear if ISS was doing pro-bono work if this was a paid for audit. It really depends on what their particular relationship was.
Maybe it was an exploit already in the wild? If that is so, I'm sure this exploit went for a good chunk of change.
I'm assumming that cisco has regression testing and a suite of automated tools to test their IOS releases. I really doubt that someone sits in a lab and runs through every possible scenario and simply waits for it to die. Even in that scenario... it's still unlikely this type of fix would take that long. For whatever reason, this will put things in motion.
Prime examples of wasted time at the work place. You know what would make this even worse? Having to do something like this with co-workers you hate. Even so, I think I could make it fun.
"Today, were going to play some reality television. I want everyone to vote for someone to leave the office. Now, while this isn't indicative of that person losing his or her job... it just might help.
It's secret ballot... so have at it... I should also mention that not choosing another individual indicates you are not a "Team Player" and will be autmoatically chosen for not submitting a ballot."
Well me I would recommend something a bit different.
It uses DDR200... I already have plenty of 512 sticks sitting around now. As soon as I retire an older box I'll have a gig of older ram freed up.
Now, if I wanted to put in a cheap caching proxy server, this would probably be the route to go. In fact, I know a few guys who would use this for an cache server. (where purchasing a high end solid state drive would not be economically feasible)
If the card becomes really reasonable in terms of cost I don't see a reason to chuck 50$ and some old ram at it to have one fast access point for a few games.
The leroy jenkins incident was a skit sorta. Who records voice when making an in game video? In any event, they made a few other videos that are humorous.
I was Johny Bravo for a while and then I decided to be Brent Spiner. (Lost brent recently, gotta make a new one soon, but hell I usually just borrow someones)
I want my condos, strip malls, golf courses, air strips and every other fricken huge structure out there. I want it all and I want it in my back yard.
I haven't got any room left for a flock/herd of animals that were kicked off the continent 13000 years ago.

I'm too lazy to find any more... still... everyone should just go and read some past comments and repost them.

Try some porn next time folks!

Google to offer free sandwhiches...

So yeah,
On the flip side there is my Athlon system I built from parts off the shelf (so to speak in internet terminology)
Runs great, doesn't crash, nothing flips out and I get great FPS in most games.
I just followed a few simple rules. Don't buy a first revision of a chipset. Get a good PSU. Make sure it's not smoking hot.
Seems like all you are paying Apple to do is take care of the research and limit your scope of available devices.
You either want an application layer firewall or a chroot jail for IE.
Good news is, they have application layer firewalls... dunno about chroot on a windows core service.
Apparently if they don't like it....
They can tell you to pack up and go home.

A fool and his money...
African or European?
I know with Wal-Mart online you can have your order shipped to a store and not pay shipping.
I've not used it, but I'm sure it's a hassle in areas that don't normally deal with it.

You see a problem, I see opportunity.
Looks like its going to be cheap to buy up some housing soon.

Oh yeah, hot robot action!
I would prefer to keep my routers in tact...
Four months to fix a flaw?
This must have been really profound.

Uh, not here, they are card nazi's.
Given I can see no reader submission... the size of the article... yep... nail, hammer, head.

I do that too with my grocery card.

Maybe tomorrow I'll be Rob Malda.
The only hilarious way to do identity theft.
Like the episode of south park that was on a golf game renamed to something.dat.
It was the jesus vs santa claus episode if I remember correctly.
That was great, a video game and a free episode of south park (though at the time they gave them away online anyway)
