If Linux 2.2.XX had security holes they would say upgrade. There aren't new fixes being written.

But, you are wrong about this. In fact, a new Kernel update to 2.2 was released. Version 2.2.26. It's been a year, but they were still released.

Here's a quote from the release: "Marc-Christian Petersen announced the release of the 2.2.26 Linux kernel. This release includes several security fixes, including a fix for the latest mremap() bug." See the Linux 2.2.26 Release Notes

So, really, MS is forcing users to upgrade by not releasing patches to old version.

Mae said she was looking for more thermite out by the shed. They tried to infect her, but the brown virus cocktail worked. Unless, of course, she was infected, but then she would have stopped him. Unless, she evolved differently. Or, she didn't fight the swarm in her body, hence being at peace with it. Giving her time to help?

Maybe the swarms were acting independently?

Nuke would have been too Jurassic Park Raptor Nest. So, they went with the Spehere blow it up type stuff.

I agree. It was good, up until the end. When it became very conventional and very jurassic park. Quick explanations too. Seemed like he got stuck and took the easy way out.

Julia stopped Ricky from giving it to him in his sleep because she thought he would come around I believe. I think that they thought Mae was infected, but weren't sure. So the swarms left her alone later. Stopping her wasn't their goal at the time. Total whiff on the Mom part. Chrichton's never been good with the person side of his stories though.

This one felt like a movie the entire time. :(

I'm on the flip-side of this. Fear of Pop was an experimental album done for fun, and you can tell in the tracks. I really enjoy the album.

It's a weird techno/pop/rock mix. The Shatner tracks are hilarious. They were on Conan live when it was released and performed "In Love."

Ben Folds is also producing the album. It has been in the works for a couple of years.

There was a report on the news about cats and tv. They were distinguishing why some cats watch and some cats do not watch.

The answer? The cats that watch TV have slower brains then the cats that do not watch TV. They cannot distinguish that TV is not real.

I'm guessing the same is true for dogs. Especially in regards to sound. It's interesting that some dogs can distinguish that hearing a doorbell or dog bark on TV is fake and some dogs cannot. So, higher quality audio and video probably means that in the end, more pets will watch and listen.

FYI, this can't all be blamed on the last administration. The current administration should get much of the blame, too. They support the outsourcing of jobs overseas and recommend it to companies. Why? It raises their profit margins, but at the cost of American jobs. You also notice they don't make any moves to change the situation. They are using it to their advantage to make the economy look better than it is. A jobless recovery won't last forever, and we could end up being worse off then before.

The current administration also says that the outsourcing overseas will allow for better jobs to be created, but this goes against logic.

Logic says when you lay off a bunch of workers that make X amount of dollars and hire an overseas firm where the employees make Y amount of dollars, and Y < X to save costs and increase profit margins, then new workers are hired in America at Z dollars, Z < X simply because Z > X would HURT profit margins.

Essentially the employee makes less money. Plus, the job you trained for is gone and you have to possibly relearn a new skill. This could cost lots of money depending on the school. Better jobs my ass. All this does is hurt the American people so corporations can pad their pockets more.

I now have broadband from a small, independent company (that is slowly going under cause of SWB), but I get 4 Mbit down and 500 Kbit up for about half the price of SWB's 1.5 Mbit down w/ 16 Kbit up. I routinely have 350 - 450 KB/s downloads, and they have great service. They would most likely hop on a technology like this so they can keep ahead of the big companies, but they are going under.

I remember how ICQ used to be the one everybody had to have. AOL was a poor imitation.
