IIRC, Beagle Bros. commented everything they did on the Apple II, and put a line or two of ****** to set it apart. Was great to find instruction in their BASIC programs, since they were anything but (Basic. AhHA!;P . That's how I learned the ins and outs of the Apple II. That, and playing lots of Rescue Raiders.
Galtrader could almost certainly be in that grey area of game and sport. How many times have I wanted a cig while trying to escape 3 Nemesis Class Warships. My adreneline is going crazy, I'm exhausted, and I can feel the missiles hit.
Of course, I play Galtrader over a wireless network while downhill ski-wrestling so it might be a little distracting at times.;)
Likewise with the Online Personal Privacy Act. It is masquerading as pro-consumer when in fact it is pro-business. The new legislation is similar to laws passed in Europe that divide your personal information into two types. The first is "sensitive" information, such as your financial and medical history, race, lifestyle, religion, political affiliation, and sex life. The second is "nonsensitive" information, and among that will include your name, address, and records of anything you buy or surf on the Internet. Under the act, business can't collect or divulge the sensitive bits without your express consent, but anything classified as nonsensitive can be freely collected and sold at will.
Blaming Ford is like being accused of murder when somebody steals your credit card and your credit card is in this room that is locked with a combination lock and your mom posts the combo on the fridge, and the cable guy comes over and sees it
, buys a gun with it and all the bullets from the gun have your name, address, phone number, social security number, date of birth, current pay rate, address of workplace, present and past debts, spouse's name, number of kids, and length of your johnson engraved on every single one.
and kills somebody else. And even when the cable guy is caught, the gun is never recovered, since unlimited copies of this gun are floating around waiting to be used by any other cable guy.
So I can see how you wouldn't want to blame Ford. It can't be their fault. This must have happened when they were making exploding cars, or covering up a tire saftey issue on the Ford Exploder. Sure.
One (good) omnidirectional condenser Mic in center of room; everything will be in phase and mono. Send this signal to a noise gate to cancel out paper rustling, and then a compressor (hard or software). I'd guess a 1:10 (or less), with a threshold of -20db (give or take) and a soft limiter would do it. This will equalize the volumes between the loud drunk salesguy, and the quiet intern. Educate members of meeting that they need to speak confidently.
I guess I don't see why NOT routing the audio back would be a problem, or maybe I don't understand the question.
Otherwise, save your paper towel rolls, and hand them out before a meeting.
I don't do this for a living, so YMMV.
I'm sorry I have to correct you; the four games were:

2. Marble Madness
3. Bejeweled
4. Chessmaster 4000

Spyware Fights Back

· Score: 5, Informative
All right, guys
here I'm again. You have posted really good posts. There are intelligent
reactions to my hints and I must admit that I have a bit underestimated how powerfull
userbase Adaware has.
I'm sure that many of you ask, WHAT WAS THE REASON of KILLING adaware
right after each start NOT looking into default directory (like some people think)
but using the uninstall registry keys and uninstaller LOG file
(this is a hint for adaware developers to make it invisible) ?
Actually, the point was NOT to destroy the adaware . This is almost impossible.
BUT TO SHOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF THE PROGRAMS START UNINSTALLING EACHOTHER.
As I believe that some of the "spyware" are just reguler legal programs I really
feel for their authors to see how their program is being uninstalled. I WANTED ADAWARE
TO SEE IT TOO and to revalue their pose to their "enemies". I understand that
ads brought by some programs aren't doing the clean job and don't have
approprietary uninstalling possibilites and they NEED TO BE REMOVED BY THE HARDEST
WAY, but NOT all of them are such rude. When removing legal software (as you say now
I remove adaware), having all what polite software should have (polite installer, EULA, Uninstaller and full description),
it may be really VERY UNPLEASANT.
They put me on the MOST WANTED list ? Yes, that's what I expected. It is natural
and if they didn't do that it would look STRANGE, wouldn't it.
They removed me from CNet ? Oh yes, again, I expected problems but you all must
admit that adaware is a "remover" too.
They wanted to send me to all AntiVirus companies ? Heh, detecting a "virus"
having EXEPath in regisry and no other files copied in any directory
would be pretty easy, don't you think ?
You all are angry on me ? Yes, I expected it. But if I didn't do this and only
started to talk about my opinions I would be just SOME ANOTHER GUY SAYING SOME
BULLSHIT and ignored (my life-experience with many people).
Generaly the people must see the acts first and then they will PERHAPS
start thinking more.
The non-adaware-killing RadLight was compiled 5 seconds after the adaware-killing
version. I thought that people would find it out immedieately but it took
more than a week until they noticed. It will be released immediately and no more software-removing actions will be taken. I can
only hope that Lavasoft will think about the reasons why this happened.
I know i will loose many of users who will ignore my player but It will
at least solve my server problems and I may rest for a while.
I can apologize now
"
I apologize to LavaSoft for all inconviences that happened by my RadLight
software when removing the ADAWARE application silently and without
users request.
I apologize to all RadLight users who may be disappointed or hurt by these
events.
I apologize to all ADAWARE users whose adaware was removed when launched RadLight.
Your indignation is an evidence for me that I succeeded and now,
at least the people who read messages on this forum understand how does
it feel when YOUR SOFTWARE is being removed.
With friendly regards,
Igor "RadScorpion" Janos

Not only did YOU not read the article, but you hide your precious karma behind a AC post.
Whilst 'reading' the article, did you happen to note this? And I quote: "...the word on the street is that negotiations foundered because the lawyers on both sides couldn't agree about intellectual property issues.
This eleventh-hour failure is a disaster because it shatters something magical...."
Sure, Intel wanted to buy AT&T, but...They didn't!!! The question remains then, why doesn't AT&T keep it?
If your answer is, "uhh, 'cause they wasn't makein no money." I respond with, "So what?"
The point to my post, (obviously lost to you) is that the lab has had a fine track record, so why not hold on to it, if only for the fact that they will come up with something else revolutionary.
As much as I use VNC, I would be happy to pay ($50?) to use it and to encourage further development.
As far as investors giving me money, I don't think that will happen. You see, I ran this research lab that wasn't quite pulling it's weight, and well, you know the rest.....
Another example of corporate idiocy! What these guys could have accomplished left to their own devices will now never be known. VNC is great, I use it for hours a day, and I don't know what I would do without it! AT&T should get their head out of their a$$ and fund this lab _more_, not ditch it altogether.
What's with all these companies suddenly asserting rights to audit schools, businesses and such? Since when does any company get to bust on in and dig thru your stuff? If anyone can do it, I'm starting a company where I break into your house, check your perscription medicine bottles, and if any are expired, I take your teenaged daughter.
All games for Xbox, PS2, and Game Cube will now retail for one soul.

I guess anything that Hollings touches is evil.
The books are not just stolen from the library, they're stolen from everyone who pays taxes, and the knowledge within is stolen from everybody.

I think I'm going to have to Opt-out. Thanks though.

I agree, BTW, so this is ontopic. ;)

Embed this into skin, you could have targeted ads on your forehead. Your coworker needs a shower; your forehead displays 'Speedstick. By Mennen.'
