    yeah $50 a YEAR is super expensive.

    I predict a big giant failure in MS's future if it debuts with no HD and no backwards compatibility. The reason I bought my ps2 was to play all my old ps1 rpg's and the reason I bought my xbox was the Hard Drive.

    Without either of those it looks like sony or nintendo will be getting my money

    and when my 4 year old nephew grabs a disc off my computer when I'm not looking and trashes it I can go ahead and do what exactly?

    I backup the current game/dvd I'm watching and put the original away. Coincidently all my originals are in excellent condition despite having children and my own clumsy ass around.

    This will not stop piracy but it sure as hell makes it a pain in the ass for ME.

    Everyone can change. I imagine they want to try out being a friend to the industry, this will garner a shitload of loyalty and loyalty can weigh heavily into which server to buy next quarter.

    The reason they're healthier than you is because they run marathons and excercise. Every vegetarian I've met has been in relatively good shape because they tend to be the ones to take care of their bodies. The rest of us just float around half assed.

    What if the robot considers it's parts hands. If thats all the robot has and it doesn't use some external implement does that count as help?

    Aren't our hands just a different type of instrument? Or must it be organic.

    .. but there is no canadian corporate structure, it's all american companies anyways and aside from being a little more lenient towards watching the playoffs instead of working I've noticed nothing different.
    Corporations are an entity unto themselves, I don't think country plays a part.

    Some anecdotal evidence. I persuaded my g/f, a graphic artist to try out the gimp on her projects for one week and I'd buy her an expensive dinner. 2 days into it I caught her using Photoshop and she confessed the Gimp UI was "just awful" and complained the gimp was "twice as slow on some things" In the end I got yelled at for putting some "crappy" program on her computer. She likes open office and firefox though so it's a start.

    too true, I often see drag cars when I'm driving around town. A production road car with 1001HP pfft, thats nothing.
