    Speaking of Gaim, theres a GPG plugin for it that allows you to encrypt your messages. And their safe from AOL too, not just all the people in between.

    They may have a problem with people installing Linux on the Xserves and then not paying for OS X Server software or upgrades; then again, their chosen market may not even consider this. Again, only time will tell.

    I seriously doubt this would be an issue. Anyone who goes out of their way to get an Xserve, with the other options out there, is probably looking for the Apple hardware/OS combo. I doubt there will be very many Linux/*BSD/what have you Xserves out there. (At least not until you start seeing Xserves on ebay anyway...)

    Neo's the only one who can dodge bullets yes, but what about the other impossible stuff that they do...hmm actually you're right. The only time you need to see that stuff in slo-mo is with bullets. Everything else is just eyecandy...Damn. That takes away half the fun though.

    This is purely anecdotal, and is from the GNOME 1.4.x days, but I found the packages in Ximian's apt sources had a nasty habit of causing file overwrite conflicts with other Debian packages. Sometimes it was a real PITA.

    Thanks, I was wondering if I was going to have to bring that up. All these posts about how hard it would be to simulate the universe are full of hubris. Everybody keeps assuming the universe we live in is complex. Maybe it isn't.

    I'll be the first to admit that I'm not fighting them off with a stick, but she really isn't that good looking. She's above average, but not stunning. Her face leaves a bit to be desired. Ack, I can't believe I'm dissecting this girl's looks. More proof I belong on slashdot I guess.

    This is why cell manufacturers need to get together and develop a protocol for some sort of suggested operating mode. They could use RFIDs or something... the movie theatres could purchase them and as people walked in the tags would "suggest" to the phone to switch to vibrate. Of course the user could tell the phone to ignore these suggestions, but the default state would be to follow them. Expand it to things like putting it in cars... the phone can automatically answer itself for you, assuming you;ve got some kind of hands free setup. etc. I don't think it would be terribly exspensive either.

    Are you kidding? I hated the way they intepreted those songs, especially the orcs. They were all way too cheery when they said stuff like "Yo Ho my Lad" it was very odd. You half expected the Dwarves to join in.

    fractions are way cooler than floating point. just try and write 1/3 as a decimal. Also, radians are way cooler then degrees.
