Speaking of Gaim, theres a GPG plugin for it that allows you to encrypt your messages. And their safe from AOL too, not just all the people in between.
They may have a problem with people installing Linux on the Xserves and then not paying for OS X Server software or upgrades; then again, their chosen market may not even consider this. Again, only time will tell.
I seriously doubt this would be an issue. Anyone who goes out of their way to get an Xserve, with the other options out there, is probably looking for the Apple hardware/OS combo. I doubt there will be very many Linux/*BSD/what have you Xserves out there. (At least not until you start seeing Xserves on ebay anyway...)
Neo's the only one who can dodge bullets yes, but what about the other impossible stuff that they do...hmm actually you're right. The only time you need to see that stuff in slo-mo is with bullets. Everything else is just eyecandy...Damn. That takes away half the fun though.
This is purely anecdotal, and is from the GNOME 1.4.x days, but I found the packages in Ximian's apt sources had a nasty habit of causing file overwrite conflicts with other Debian packages. Sometimes it was a real PITA.
Thanks, I was wondering if I was going to have to bring that up. All these posts about how hard it would be to simulate the universe are full of hubris. Everybody keeps assuming the universe we live in is complex. Maybe it isn't.
My little daughter can sit down with vim and do that
Sir, I'm sorry to inform you of this, but if your little daughter can use Vim, she is quite obviously an alien. You're lucky though, if she could use EMACS we'd have to assume she was the queen mother, and unfortunately be forced to eliminate her.
worse then a spammer!?!?! egads! That is a harsh insult. It looks like in the information age "spammer" is now more vindictive then "murderer" or "rapist".
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not fighting them off with a stick, but she really isn't that good looking. She's above average, but not stunning. Her face leaves a bit to be desired. Ack, I can't believe I'm dissecting this girl's looks. More proof I belong on slashdot I guess.
This is why cell manufacturers need to get together and develop a protocol for some sort of suggested operating mode. They could use RFIDs or something... the movie theatres could purchase them and as people walked in the tags would "suggest" to the phone to switch to vibrate. Of course the user could tell the phone to ignore these suggestions, but the default state would be to follow them. Expand it to things like putting it in cars... the phone can automatically answer itself for you, assuming you;ve got some kind of hands free setup. etc. I don't think it would be terribly exspensive either.
!!! Lambda expressions are the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life. Well no not really. But, whoa. Urge to learn some functional language rising...
Are you kidding? I hated the way they intepreted those songs, especially the orcs. They were all way too cheery when they said stuff like "Yo Ho my Lad" it was very odd. You half expected the Dwarves to join in.
Did I say WoT was better? Did I even mention WoT at all? Sheesh. Was I even complaining about Tolstoy for that matter? People need to learn how to read on this site.
I don't know if you intended to or not, but I got the sense that you were being sarcastic when you wrote your post. Maybe the mod felt the same way,::shrug::. I personally wouldn't have marked it as flamebait anyway, but maybe that was his "reasoning".

well if you look at the changelogs, thats what it looks like, a list of what they did and if nothing else, the emails of who did it.
complaining that he's running XP, at least he's it to play what appears to be nethack or some other rogue variant.
has said this yet: "In Soviet Russia, Venus takes pictures of you!"
Just a word to the wise, it ain't exactly light reading. Its practically the ME equivalent of the Bible, and reads similiarly in terms of style.
Just order the "special cake" in the resturant.
First our beer is weak, then our coffee. Is there anything you guys think we do do RIGHT? Sheesh.

my problem with war and peace was the names. I couldn't keep track of them. Any suggestions?

fractions are way cooler than floating point. just try and write 1/3 as a decimal. Also, radians are way cooler then degrees.
