Should play on--you get to revive them, later, at the very end:]
[Or rather, the Mysidea elder does... to this day, I've never found the item you're supposed to use to revive them earlier--it may only exist in the Japanese version...?]
You have to give the source to the people you give your binaries to. So if you give your binaries to yourself (or your other machines) you only need give it to yourself...:)
You might want to RTFA. The examples listed aren't pitching ideas for new products or businesses (at least, none of the ones I saw did, including the examples).
Rather, they were for things like 'fund me so build an orphanage in Guatemala' and 'help me recreate my grandfather's immigration to America so I can understand my roots'.
Of course, using it as venture capital for some new product you have in mind might win, too, but from what I gather, the point of it is not (necessarily) to get new product ideas.
If you RTFA, they're going for maximum statutory damages. Since the statute was written with the idea of people reproducing counterfeit CDs and such for profit, those damages are quite high ($150,000 per song, IIRC). Since they're lawyers, they ask for the maximum but that amount will (obviously) be cut down comsiderably, one way or another. The student could wind up going bankrupt (one way or the other...) though.
That's true; it was uncensored (for what little there was to censor...) on the PC. I've played the NES version, too, and I'll even admit that the control is MUCH more natural with a mouse than with a control pad:/
Nope, it was the sequel to Maniac Mansion, based on the 'SCUMM' system from Lucas Arts. Maniac Mansion did have some almost risqué content at one point, though, but Nintendo neutered it. There was an article by one of the developers about the changes NOA demanded posted as a link somewhere here on slashdot at one point; I'm sure that google would turn it up again:]
You don't want to add randomness; the signal will still be there, just under more noise. You want to remove that signal entirely, by making all these calculations take the same amount of time, no matter what; even if you can short circuit them. If you think about it long enough, you'll realize that we want to remove the information we're sending them--that's much better than hiding it:]
I have such a configuration [and such a problem] and it has happened in a few other apps, so I'm pretty sure that ATI is at fault.
The only way I've found to reduce it is not to run flash & most other plugins [java seems to be okay, usually, but running the AYBABTU SWF video is just asking to kill the machine...]
I've found that it's best to make a no-reg link or use that automatic login generator page I've saved to my own computer [since they've blocked most of the sites who have put it up]

The guy you're responding to is just trolling.
:/
They put out good flamebait, though, and I guess a ton of people are replying now
Yes, the lowest circle. In some of the outer ones they let you get by with FORTRAN.
Isn't that just some crappy 2/2 flying artifact monster? Doesn't seem very worthwhile... :)
That would take a wee bit more than $25K (or even $300K...) :]

Meh, I'd rather print out the DMCA... :]

Anyone else read this too fast and envision a computer or router or something that ran on steam power?
For some reason, that notion made me think of an AMD Athalon system...
Yeah, and the UN won't even kick them from the game!
:]
I hear they use auto-aim, too
It would also illegalize spam, or so it would seem... :]
/have/ to be a lot more narrow to be a very reasonable law :[
Still, it would
Nah, I see it as WinHECK, a lesser version of WinHELL [which is only for users :]
But how will I get any work done if the computer drinks all my beer? :[
Oh, wait...

In that case, the extra randomness is pointless unless you want to lower the QoS...

Actually, history would indicate that Microsoft products tend to *attract* bugs :]
I didn't realize that Mexico was part of the Axis of Evil these days? :] Have I not been keeping up with all the Terror Alerts or something?
In a treehouse? You cut a hole in the floor :]
Look out below!

Don't forget that it should trigger the gamer upgrade cycle, perhaps single-handedly revitalizing the tech sector ;]
Battle of Helm's Deep was mostly orcs vs. humans/ & elves.
