    The story in Doom 3 was everything a doom fan could have expected, it wasn't complicated or beleivable, but I was satisfied with it because it was DOOM.
    It's just the gameplay had about as much imagination as the story...

    I don't even have to read the rest of the article after the opening line, yes they have experience, they have experience DESTROYING THE FUCKING SERIES. anyone that calls ultima 8 and 9 "Open ended" and anything other then trading 7's gameplay for better graphics and shorter dev times is talking out of thier ass, but hey, I suppose if the rest of gaming journalism is doing it, they should to.

    I was under the impression that the physics engine in Source was to Havok as Half-Life's model animations and scripting abilities are to Quake 2's.
    It's not your stock Havok engine, they've done a lot of messing about under the hood.

    now, people, where does this heat and pressure come from? I'm willing to bet a substantial amount comes in the form of electricity, about half of which comes from coal fired furnaces.

    have you played an FPS on a console that was better then mediocre? Yes, I've played halo, think it sucked compared to goldeneye, which wasn't even very good compared to the likes of half life.

    We only think we're geniuses because others don't think like us and we get these absolutely awesome ideas sometimes, problem is while occasionally they are good ideas, and they could be practical, usually there is some kind of basic violation of the laws of physics that prevents it from working like it should and it takes me a week or two to figure it out, if I havn't forgot about it completely by then.

    We're not geniuses, we just get bored easily and try to find cool ways to ammuse ourselves.
