Maybe this issue sooo far into the future, it doesn't currently deserve attention. If the Iraqi people are truly lacking drinking water and food, I think, providing them with necessities should be a priority. Last time I checked cell phone was something you wanted. Food was something you needed to say use a cell phone among other things
With the highest immigration rates of any country, past or present. Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to get really rich and live lives of unimagined luxury.
.
I guess you were born here, because only morons like who were born here can say such things. I agree that things were bad when many of the immigrants left their country. Yes, this land is the land of opportunity and you can have more freedom. But many people come here imagining a better life, only to come here and find out how miserable and alone you are, unless you adapt to this country and become one of you.
I disagree. I play Diablo II and I used to play honestly, slowly working up experience. But then after playing for so long, it got boring and I wouldn't get any of the neat stuff. So, I started cheating in Single player only. Now I have all the good stuff and ofcourse, it is a little more exciting. Atleast it will be for a little while.
I have grown up with these games. I still remember snake (QBasic), King's Quest I, Pong and others. I tried to play these games a few weeks ago, and I brought back memories.
Same thing for my SB Live! for WinXP. Windows installed the drivers for the sound card during setup and some of my games stopped playing music/sounds or they would play sound a few sec's after an event in the game. I installed the drivers from Creative and it all works like a charm now.
The real question should be whether the Penn court has the authority to regulate sites around the world? We all agree that child p0rn is very very wrong, but how do you get someone in say Thailand, to say shutdown the site when they are making money hand over fist.
If you read the article, it says that the EU doesn't have the power to split the company, since it is US based. They can however fine the company upto 10% if they ever finish litigation and actually go thru the punishment phase completely, unlike the US federal and state govt.
Windows is the gamers platform of choice
Correction... Windows is the game makers' choice of platform. It is unfortunate that the games get sucked into it because of lack of game choices for other operating systems. I am sure that will change soon enough.
I am sure there are few that actually type msn.com and go there, but I am forced to go because I have a hotmail account and I can't seem to hit the stop button fast enough before I am pushed into msn.com. So, I don't see this as FUD, but instead more of Microsoft's tactics to do away with competition. If the page doesn't load then people will start using IE. Right?
They may be counting on the laziness, but they also forget that people are always looking for bargains. Tax free was not the number one initiative for shopping online, but atleast for me, comparing prices with others was. I look and compare prices online and then go to the store and buy anyway. If this is what most do, then internet tax may not matter much at all.
I am sure this is debatable, but it would be nice if the linux desktop developers were a more artistic in desigining the desktop while they are at it, rather than creating a clone of the Windows desktop. There is no question that the average user doesn't care of open or closed source. But while you are giving them a choice of the OS, give them a different desktop as well.
The more important question I have for you is why did you start smoking in the first place. I definitely agree that the cigarette companies are underhanded and sneaky and I hope they all burn in hell.I know many people that smoke, but I know many more people that don't smoke. You know why??????? It is because they choose not to smoke. So, before you start complaining about anything else, you first need to examine yourself and the environment you grew up in. Blame your old man or something first.
Don't use IE. Use Phoenix, Mozilla, Netscape or Opera. I haven't faced any such problems since I switched. The other way is to get free versions of pop-up blockers so that you don't click OK on everything that pops up. This is nothing new. I am sure this was a piggyback install on something else. You just need to read the fine print before agreeing.
Seeing that nothing is really pure anymore, I can't really blame anyone for trying. With people growth getting out of control, landfills are filling up too fast. Many things are recycled now-a-days. I guess someone's been wathching Planteers? cartoon too much:-)
In all honesty, how many people do you think actually recycle? Fine, a new disposable environmentally friendly car is developed. But, last I checked, most recyclable items still ended up in trash and ultimately in land fills. I can't imagine what would happen if you could throw away a car that often
Do you really think that it matters to them? If you drop a 500-ton bomb, what happens? You blow everything within a certain range. Same story. They think civilians they blow out a bridge. If you are on it when the bomb drops, then that's your problem. Same logic for HPM.
I agree with this poster. This is not illegal because it is your responsibility to read everything before you sign a document or accept any dialog box. If you don't read it or don't understand it, then it's your problem.
If they don't show the choices at all, then this hopefully is illegal. I did accept it, but I accepted the choices given to me. But then what do I know. I am no lawyer.
With no way to send food from my work to the iGrill, I definitely can set it, and can't forget it.

It's not just universities that would do this. I don't know of any corporation/business/anything else that would try to avoid a lawsuit at all costs.

First of all, it's about time someone did this. I wish I had thought of it first. Is she going to make money on this or what?

I already have a robot like that. I got married to it couple of years ago. It's called a wife.
DVD rotting has been stated here in a previous story

It might do better if it was foot-powered or maybe even CowboyNeal powered.

Yeah, but how many of the people deciding this women? Who set the wearer's social standing rules? The answer is men.
