Seriously, not a bad idea at all. Set up a mic and capture the commentary. Also capture the original audio track directly, either simultaneously, or do another pass for that. Then author the DVD with two tracks -- original or w/commentary. That'd be sure to impress everyone in the family.
Pacbell/SBC stopped providing the *.binaries.* groups to subscribers years ago. This wasn't a result of any direct pressure from the MPAA or RIAA as far as I'm aware. However, their stated reason for cutting it off was because of the substantial number of copyrighted works that were available.
Summed up very nicely by Intel from TFA: "Digital technologies are by their nature copying technologies; there will always be a risk that any digital technology, however well intentioned its designer, will be put to infringing uses."
Hehehe...That's what I get for not bothering to click the link. Thanks for pointing out just how lazy i was being. (Although, I was actually busy checking out the adobe site to see what these two libraries are capable of doing).
I have to agree. I bought a shuttle box years ago after every review site seemed to rave about how quiet they were. I got the thing home, put it together and was annoyed by the sound the thing made. My midtower box that I consider noisy as hell was just a whisper next to the shuttle. Naturally, it succumbed to the bad capacitor problem that many of them died from. I hear that the latest generation of shuttles are fairly quiet though. Not sure I trust that, considering it's coming fromt he same sources who said that the one I got was supposedly quiet...
The difference is that Napster makes you pay $.99 to burn a track to cd. But at the same time, they're offering a free 14-day trial of their "all you can download" (no burning) service. This method allows you to burn what you've downloaded entirely for free...
Wow! This is such a great idea! I don't know why nobody came up with it first! As a strong supporter, I would like to nominate my company, TrackingStats4Sale, to aggregate and manage the information that's gathered from this.

This is exactly the same as when Intel unveiled the Aztec prototypes right after the introduction of the original iMac...
Because we all know that the only OS a PowerPC can run is OSX...*rolls eyes*
I'd hate to get struck by lightning while flying that thing...

Ummm...Beastie appears?
Combine these with an Apple and you have the downfall of mankind...

Not being familiar with the MIT License (too lazy to RTFL), just wondering what use these libraries could be to projects like the GIMP.
One of the bennes is that he sees stories before they are actually published for the unwashed masses.
I'm not a subscriber and I saw this story before it was posted... : p
I thought they were just talking about doing this a few days ago...Greedy bastards...sheesh!
who cares if everyone on the bus sees me twitching and drooling as I blow away those monsters...
You don't need total immersion for that. All you need is a GBA...
you will see things that look like this.

use low noise/silent parts in your computer
What could be simpler?
Well, now that you've laid it out so simply for us, I really don't know...
Yes, which is exactly why Bush made mention of putting a stop to "frivolous asbestos lawsuits" in his State of the Union address...
Actually, you should remove asbestos from that list. The US doesn't need any more of those "frivolous" asbestos lawsuits...
So if the wireless joysticks are standard, does that mean there won't be any joystick "ports" on the box at all?
This is Microsoft's way of teaching a lesson to all those people who hacked a USB port into their xBoxes.
This'll be sure to help keep the costs on this thing down...

What if you pick up your gas in a large plastic tank
Where can I get one of these large plastic tanks? Does it come with a big plastic cannon, too?
