one thing's for sure, i don't think this glass is going to be used on cars, because the water flowing down the glass in a sheet instead of droplets might severely hamper your view which would be a serious hazard. i think.
I think the opposite, in fact, there have been chemical solutions on the market now for some time which effectively stop the water forming into droplets but instead letting the water run clean off. Besides that, do your cars not have wiper blades? Just a thought:)
Here is one such solution, which has certainly been tried and tested. Now where did my self-walking dog get to...
Although very cool, this does seem like a waste of bandwidth (yes I'm a hypocrite listening to it right now). You can just download a c64 "sid" player here and grab a load of tunes here. You can even play these sid files in winamp using SidAmp. Enjoy
I recall one particular single, or "45" if you will.. had 7 tracks per side.
The record was a horse race, and of course you would get a different race at random. I havent seen one of these for many years.. shame google didnt turn up anything on a search either.
a pedal powered UPS.. would certainly make a sensible option for long blackouts, if the battery from the UPS is dying you can just jump on the excercise bike and throw a few hundred amps through it.
And better yet, you could employ a school leaver to do it so no need to tire yourself out!:)
Retro Gaming Radio has part one of a great interview with David crane, recorded at CGE last month. Very funny, very insightful. It goes into various aspects of the industry, and how its no longer about games, its all about the money.. It's nice to listen to interviews like this with golden age gaming developers and see exactly where all the ideas came from, and how pitfall was created, how to play laserblast, ghostbusters, pitfall2 ports for the c64 and atari800.. anyways don't take my word for it, listen to the show!
This sounds awfully familiar to the protection used on the playstation emulator "Bleem". Fair enough it took them a while to hack, but they did!
I think what these copy protection people are forgetting, whilst spending these millions of dollars in research on anti piracy techniques is that at the end of the day, the data STILL NEEDS TO BE READ in order for it to be of any use to anybody.
They arent stopping the professional pirate. They will just annoy the mediocre pirate and frustrate consumers.
I had ADSL 512/256 installed late 2000 and I'm STILL paying off the bill for it. £80 PER MONTH I was being charged, this went up from £50 pm when it was originally installed, and £200 instalation fee plus 2 days off work (this cost me a further £160 at the end of year when holidays not taken were paid off). You don't know how lucky you are!
I was fortunate enough to visit creaturelabs in cambridge, to see this item being developed in late 2000, on a visit discuss new and exciting things. The robot we saw was very crude, but was certainly begining to take shape. I don't recall what cpu it used but the ammount of RAM it ws using was incredibly small for such a sophisticated unit. I had almost forgotten about this unit, however, looking at the pricetag, I don't think I'll have to wait much longer:)
Why dont people just get the right tool for the job instead of bolting on more crap to the ever increasingly annoying mobile phone.
Not only do we have to contend with annoying ringtones, but people rave on about how "COOL!" it is to play "SNAKE" and other games on a phone!
If you want games, get a gameboy advance.
If you want to talk to people, buy a phone
If you want to play with a mouse.. well thats up to you.
Whats next? Are they going to add a spider-web launching addon?
The nescafé coffee you speak of has been around for a while, and tastes absolutely disgusting. It claims to be sugar free but tastes like syrup. Another problem is that you don't get a full can, and cost way too much (more than a train coffee in some case), so I won't be buying those again in a hurry.
Absolutely lovely, now when my girlfriend wants attention when im on the computer all she has to do is lie naked on me and i'll se her naked body as a keyboard:)) Now all we need is a mouse like this and we can perform the JEDI MOUSE TRICK.
So what do we call this new kind of undocumented feature? What is the software now? Ad-aware killed off (almost) anything that could be classed as spyware, so I guess this is now redirectware, or something. What a lot of people don't realise, or remember sometimes is that not everybody has their own computer, and morpheus is probably stored on a family computer where lots of people are using the internet for different needs. Software like this could potentially do any number of harmful things. What was that software that "saved you time" by keeping your form details, or that other one that was catching browser inputs and archiving them. I think just the email addresses alone would be worth a few hundred dollars;)
I'm no big fan of piracy, however we all know it can be very useful to get pirated material of things not available or no longer available on the internet or wherever your piracy needs are filled.
However, this just goes to show that there is still no positive link between the amount of pirate movies and how many people visit their local cinema.
Remember a few years back (mid 80s?) when nobody was going to the cinema? They blamed the video store.
Pirate movies have been around for years and years and years and years and... snip. They'll blame steps splitting up on mp3.com next

Hmmm
Better than that, an abductor could place one on a child and track it to a place where they could be easily abducted!

That just makes me think of the spam I got recently, telling me "your gonna need our help to get your site professional".
