    Open Source isn't doing well in retail. Microsoft doesn't care whether Best Buy sells Open Source products.

    Your desire to stay connected at all times isn't our fucking problem. It is your problem for placing yourself in a situation where your kids/wife/patients need to get a hold of you and cannot. Guess what? Deal with it. Your kids/wife/patients should have a backup plan. If it's a real emergency, they should be fucking calling 911 instead of you anyways.

    If you're on call, don't go to a place where cell phone service is blocked, be that the Lincoln tunnel, deep sea fishing, or the local movie house. This isn't rocket science, fucktard.

    You obviously missed the fact that he was using zero point energy combined with low energy physics. These two symbiotic technologies use the 64 kbit switch as an multiplying amplifier, effectively increasing available bandwidth by a factor of 65536. That converts an ordinary DSL line from 1.5Mbps to 98.3Tbps.

    And, just so you don't do this again, I've forwarded the relevant info to Fox Studios. It's called contract interference. You're directly affecting advertiser revenue by degrading the value of the show prior to airing (on the west coast).

    Should generate a few billable hours for Fox lawyers, and a few for VA's. Maybe your lawyers will bitch slap you enough to prevent this from happening again. No animosity here -- it's just that you really need a clue-by-four after posting this.

    ancillary costs. Not to prompt a flamebait, but if you only compare the costs of the various OSes to purchase, you're missing the boat.

    Linux is free to acquire, but it is certainly not free in terms of support costs, training, finding compatibility solutions (when someone in the windoze world sends you that office document), etc.

    None of this is insurmountable, but much of it is often overlooked.

    JWZ himself said it best: linux is only free if your time has no value.

    Now stand back and think about that. So true. Open Source is still the way to go, but don't forget the cost of Open Source in your financial rollups.
