Sounds like they're just tired of updating beta version numbers. "We've been working on it so long, let's just call it finished, we might get to a 2.0 version, don't know if that means anything or not..." Sunbird/Lightning with CALDAV had a lot of potential as a free alternative for exchange server for sharing calendars for small business. We set it up at several clients and they liked it pretty well, but had occasional problems with calendar files getting corrupted between computers, or getting too large and slowing down the clients. Then they released version 0.3 which broke the caldav function, and wasn't fixed until recently, if at all. I lost track of it and haven't tried it again recently. Most people who needed the functionality moved to Small Business Server. Shame they didn't have more development resources, they could have gotten to this point 5 years ago.

This is the best resource I've found. The quality on some is better than others, but they have a pretty good selection of classical pieces.
Even the instruction manual that came with the game referred to her as a "he". I guess it was intentional... Keep the character mysterious, then at the end of the game you realize it's a girl.
Yeah, I used to be a fan of VIA chipsets, but their SATA/RAID stuff is horrible. Had a lot of problems with them. Moved to nvidia, and things run much more smoothly.
There actually is a more 'Oscar-like' videogame awards show: The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has an awards show every year, although to my knowledge, it's never been televised. This is the type of awards show that actually does the 'art form' of gaming justice. Also, each year they induct people into the "Hall of Fame". Previous inductees include Miyamoto, Will Wright, John Carmack, etc. (and if you want to see acceptance speeches, they have some of them online)
Be sure to also check out Project Majestic Mix, which is a arranged tribute album to Nobuo Uematsu of Final Fantasy fame. It features music from all the Final Fantasy games, plus Chrono Trigger and Front Mission: Gun Hazard. Very cool stuff.
Project Majestic Mix
That might skew the cost on COBOL's side a bit...

Isn't that the point of XP Mode? To run legacy applications that aren't 7-compatible?

A guy I work with had pretty much the same experience. Got the "free trial" and got charged for $180.
I'm sure the problem will go away now that this has been posted on slashdot...
In other words.... "Free your mind."
I blame the freemasons.
Either that, or the Genesis project is being developed at Area 51.
Yeah, that's a really good idea. But all those emails might clog up the internet tubes, and be delayed several days...
This video on Channel9 shows off running a game on the Xbox. Pretty cool stuff.2 54

Agreed. Norton Antivirus 2004 especially. We've had SO many people come in our shop who have installed it and it screwed up their systems. STAY AWAY!
IBM PowerPC CPU + ATI GPU ???
Sounds to me like they're copying GameCube.
Send in $35 by the 31st and you can still get the gold edition. I'm pretty sure this is still the policy.
