    This is a good thing, maybe I can watch Hulu programs in Europe soon. ( yes I have a work-around for the region problem). I will pay for content I want to see. (I don't pay for cable as I don't want to see most of that content. (see the others' al à carte option posts)

    I hate to say it but the onyl way that america remains competative in the world market is to overwork their employees. America is niether skilled nor efficient enough to work fewer hours.

    Say there are 1000 possible points for a given class, lets say this is a math class for fun. A student could ( a good one ) could get a c in the class by getting a perfect score on the first 400 points and then doing nothing the rest of the term.


    A more reasonable assumption would be that a poor student scores an average of 70% on tests. This poor student could pass the class after scoring a 70% on the first half of the assigned work and tests and then do nothing the rest of the semester.

    assuming 1000 possible points

    (500*0.7= 350)+(500*0.5=250)=600=D

    Though in a wierd twist, the students probably cannot figure this out out.

    If I am the manufaturer of a widgit, what do I have to do to gain access to Ebay to delete whatever auctions I want? Do I just have to write in the EULA that I have this right and then go onto Ebay and delete the auctions of competitors.

Can someone show me where it is said there is jail for P2P downloads? I am reading the text of the law and am not seeing it. What is illegal is for me to bypass the region coding that I have on half my DVD's so that I can watch them on my computer.

    This will work. people may not like it and the middle class that currently do not have health insurance will not like it becuase it means they have to give up luxuries they do not need to buy something that is not a luxury. People will have to give up luxuries like cable TV, Internet and eating at restaurants every other day. There are many people who just cannot afford health insurance but there are many more who can but don't want to give up things that they don't need.

    BTW, I live is Switzerland who did obtain universal health care coverage by requireing everyone above the povery line to buy health insurance and giving it to people below the poverty line. It is really expensive, and I think some of the heath insurance providers are corrupt, but it is a better system than what they have in the US.

    and like any tool one needs to know how to use it properly.

    Spam has never wasted a second of my time. Anything that makes it through my filter is ignored. I don't even bother to delete it.

    If somebody starts sending me bloated useless emails, I just start innoring them.

    I just think the problem is that some people who use email do not understand that you just have to ignore junk mail that comes. Just like with snail mail, it goes directly in the recycle bin. Do not bother reading it to make sure it is junk. You know it is junk. Ignore it. People just do not understand this. Junk also may include mail from people you know, friends, just ignore it. don't worry, be happy.

    If you are going to rate the best all time ocontroller, should you not rate all controllers from the past present and future. One can rate the best al time dinosaur or all time greatest roman ruler because none are contained in the future. One can not rate teh best all time controller because someone could make a better one next week.

    Monsanto says "cases of liver and kedney damage not statistically significant."
    greenpeace says "liver and kidney damage cases are statistically significant." Rats not fat.

    No data is given.

    Maybe judgement should be reserved until someone has seen this data. I believe both sides here would have no problem with manipulating data for thier own interests.
