    the tsa is a cash cow for these vendors selling these useless scanner. The former homeland security director Michael Chertoff has made millions selling them to the tsa in a complete complete conflict of interest. And he is just one of many. There is no need to spend huge amounts of American tax dollars on the tsa and these useless scanners.

  4. do you really think anyone who is capable of replacing a laptop battery with semtek is going to have any trouble getting pass tsa security? I don't. tsa should be disbanded and go back to inexpensive metal detectors and a couple guys per entrance.

    I don't agree. They built a purpose built bike path along a stretch of freeway where I live. No cars, no obstructions or any other thing to prevent a blissful biking experience on it. And yet, no on rides on it. It was a huge waste of money and IMHO a boondoggle. You can't force people to ride bike and in the suburbs to downtown it just isn't going to happen no matter how much is pumped into it.

    the US spent all its money on the military and useless weapons systems that will never be used among other stupid ways to spend money. If you are looking for the single biggest reason the US is not on the moon look no further than that.

    The problem is microsoft has a very very long history of playing dirty. I kind of dismissed their edge optimization complaint when I found out they made it due to their history.

    so true. When was oracle good? Last time I used an oracle database was 20 years ago and I could not replace it fast enough. Terrible unintuitive bloated slow. I have yet to hear anyone say it was better since then.

    25 years ago I used an oracle database at a major fortune 500 company. It was antiquated, slow, and not intuitive at all. How far back do you have to go back for it to have been the "good choice"?

  17. my mom is one of these people. She is a hardcore trump fan and my parents both worked for 40+ years each and thought they had saved for a comfortably for retirement. Well my mom has gotten a serious medical condition and it is a real possibility that all they saved over the course of their lives could be wiped out and they will go bankrupt having to pay the medical bills that the greedy private health insurance is fighting paying at every turn. Helping your neighbor is very American, but I have no idea how conservatives with this "I got mine" attitude is benefiting my mom now that they did everything right and are about thrown out on the street for being medically bankrupt.

    I just checked and there was zero negotiation when you go to the online form to get hired as a uber driver. This is very clearly an employee application form.

  21. at best trump is riding Obama's coattails after Obama fixed the mess bush left. And all indications are trump is screwing the economy up overheating it with money supply. His bad decisions take a while to catch up.

  22. I've used windows since win3.1 and I will not being using windows 10. microsoft may eventually care after the mass exodus dam has broken and they cannot fix it, but it does not look good for them.

  23. I'm in the same boat, but I have to wonder what I'll decide to do when the windows 7 patches stop in a year or so. At this point using windows 10 is a non-starter so my options are to keep using windows 7 unpatched or go mac or linux. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, but I am certain I have no interest in windows 10 unless they completely change their hostility to their Customers.

    I do too. I gave up on amazon search results and having an relatively independent index of amazon's content made sense to me to find what I want. Word needs to get out I guess.

    I cannot believe ISPs expect any sympathy from their Customers. I have exactly one ISP I can use and they are actively suing to prevent / slowdown anyone else from providing service. The people that run ISPs are scum and it is easy to side with net neutrality.
