There is a hotplugging script for stuff like that, its how I've seen a lot of distros autodetect during install, Knoppix and Gentoo being an example. If you have Gentoo, its I think
emerge hotplug
The only thing you need is Support for hotplugging in the kernel.
Yes I've had problems with ALSA, it worked just all distorted when playing some songs, it was more apparent in some then others, like Fly By Night by Rush is terrible. When using the OSS drivers everything is a crystal clear as in Windows.
That's different because people know the limit of the graphics is what it is. On a computer however the limit is far beyond what it is on a GBA, and they expect more.
Yes, well WinModems were designed to be lower cost, yet it didn't end up that way for the consumer. Also HP 820Cse were suppose to be cheaper but it didn't end up that way. What makes you say it's going to be different for these players.
Actually mod up, Vivendi Corporate Bio. No where on this page does it mention them owning Valve, however it lists the other companies it owns. Also on the About Valve Page does it mention Vivendi owning them. Show me some proof or mod me up.

You don't know the slightest clue, if you did you would have know Valve is an independent company, and isn't own by Vivendi. Vivendi is their publisher and that is as far as that goes.
In nVidia's case they licensed code from SGI or some company like that. If they GPL'd the code their would be a lawsuit which I don't think they want. Now you could atleast release the spec for the cards , so the community could create its own drivers. That is proabably why many companies don't get involved in Linux for drivers, because the community already made them.
Supreme Court by now, it goes against the constitution, then again there an outnumbering amount of Republicans, well we should balence that next election.
Only on Windows, not only Linux and the other OSs, sometimes its great to be the minority. Maybe there will be some innovation that sends it back to the adware company and blows up their computers.
is to stop trek for about 5 years, fire Berman, and his other buddy, and come back with fresh new ideas.
Enterprise doesn't seem bad though, just I wanted it to continue in the future, future not 150 years, though the termporal cold war is an intresting idea so we can have some connection to the future. Though if they did that Activison would still be suing them.
Photoshop to Linux, with such a market using Linux I don't see why not. They apparently don't like Macs anymore. Does that mean though that they used GIMP for textures?
The I guess we will be seening churches with computer termnals, mainframes instead of preists, and thermal grease instead of holy water. They are right though, when we are frustrated and can't find something we are always looking to google and pray it will find it.
You can reprogram the cards and unplug the receiver from the phoneline, and then just reprogram it every month and then you get free Diret T.V. with all the porn channels you can imagine.
They probably won't bullshit you will wierd licensing either, because there is competiton with in Linux, if you don't like them, there is someone else, right now atleast your someone they can't afford to loose.
Actually I saw on PBS or some other channel about the Patriot Act and yesterday on the radio a station that is state-wide was talking about the RIAA suing uploaders.

What happened to it, were they fired, or move to some other department?
I didn't think that it would take a rocket scientist to show this but I guess I was wrong.

Thank God, IBM didn't just buy them out, because then He would say "See, there was something up, look at what happened"
Except Half Life wasn't made by them, it was only published by VUG, it was made by Valve, an Independent Company.
I set them, and click ok, go back to them the settings are gone. Anyone else getting this?
I don't think they are going to outright say it because it would probably be used against them in court.
