This has been confusing me for sometime(a little offtopic but still interesting), can you trademark a name. Apple gave the PowerMac 7100 the codename "Carl Sagan". However, Sagan's lawyers got wind of it, and took Apple to court because they claimed it was an unauthorized use of a trademark or copyright or something like that. Apple then changed their codename to "Butthead Astronomer" or BHA for short, but Sagan took offense and threatened to sue once again for defamation. So, after the hassling, the codename changed once more to "Lawyers are Wimps". No, I'm not kidding.... So if Windows becomes generic in the eyes of the law will linux distrobutions codename their betas and finals Windows just to piss off Microsoft?

Yes, well I'll be sure to install it as soon as I buy more cds. The only problem with Beta 2 I had was that it didn't have Refresh Rates done automatically and I needed to go back to the 2.4.20 to get nVidia drivers installed. Though Red Hat seems to be doing a lot to XFree86 like removing old stuff and replacing the 15+ font rendering system

Mandrake was a little too cluttered for me. It also was slowed down. Supermount also didn't function after a kernel compile and would cause X to hang unless you removed it or disabled it. I'm not surprised that they are going bankrupt they don't seem to have a real buissness model and their OS is a little too bulky for my liking.

Though I have gotten laughed in my face because I use Linux, by those MCSE people(yes nerds vs nerd), though I got my revenge when Code Red hit and they didn't patch there workstations. I can tell you now that not one person in the building laughs at me anymore. I also at Steven's Institute of Tech, they made us take Gym. I was physically fit, but some of the other people I saw I would think haven't seen the light of day each and every day like myself. I wouldn't say I was subdivided in highschool or anything because I didn't obsess about computers and technology there. I did physical activities, and lifted weights to keep myself from becoming fat.
