    The big difference here is that updating on linux is pretty much painless(Debian:apt-get, Red Hat:up2date , SuSE:YaST2) While with SQL its a shaky process with varied rate of sucess. What happens when it doesn't work. Go look for a new job.

    Kids under 18 usually don't buy it themselves. Most of them don't drive either. Usually they go with their parents to buy these things and the parent is the one who is paying for it. That is a legal and congress can't stop them, so what is the point. Also if your buying online your parent has the credit cards and you need to use that to do online purchases so how are you going to stop them then? Your parents, they should be incharge not the goverment, if they feel you can handle these things then so be it. I don't think that this bill is going to go into a law, its efforts are useless and fruitless. Go about your buissness.

    P2P wasn't the music industries biggest problem. Do you think that this will really help solve the problems, are people going to buy more CDs because of this. So 5 - 10 cents per CD well a pack of 30 is at the most going to make them $3.00, while the music cd cost $10 - 20. I don't see how your going to recoupe yourself. Also the crap that the RIAA and other organizations like them is trying to pull isn't going to make people want to jump and buy a CD either.

    Is the quality of your sound as good as a PCI Slot soundcard like a soundblaster? Probably not. Does it support 3D Audio or Surround Sound? In some cases PCI slots are worth a $ or 2.

    The computers in my brothers school has the refresh rate set a 60hz(vertial). And they are the biggest pieces of shit ever. When I walk in there its just makes me want to pull out my handy dandy set of Red Hat Linux 8 and install it on every computer.

    It doesn't have superior drivers because there aren't the games to use it with. The driver makers can't fix graphical problems because they don't occur, since there aren't the games to produce them. I also don't know about following Bioware's example because in December they didn't even know that there was a port of Blink and Miles to Linux. Id seems to know what their doing when it comes to porting. I'm sure that there are many gamers that are going to us Linux but are waiting for Doom III, and knowing Id there will be a Linux version.

    If they did that people would abandon Windows all together. Not to mention that Microsoft would go down the tubes. What of Pallidium well that would be gone, because no one would use their Distrobution and its not like they can get the U.S. to force it upon us because not every distrobution operates in the United States and they don't have to listen. Also hackers will just remove the code. Its an optimistic point but an unrealistic one.
