Perhaps he is reacting against the mass of stars? Not just Sol, but say another 1 or 2 that would provide him with momentum in addition to his +/- attraction to Sol? Or perhaps he reacts against gravitons in general? or the Electromagnet field of the sun? then he would be, in effect, just swimming.
Shhhhh..... You are going to have the "Linux is the one true god" people looking up unpaid parking tickets on you from 12 years ago.

Cars are just NOT that complicated. or they don't have to be, at least. My father-in-law used to do pretty good business taking out the electronic crap in new cars and replacing it with normal stuff; you don't need any of it, unless you have a engine that was never designed to be normally aspirated, in which case never mind.
But if you have a decent sized engine, throw on a dual-point distributor, a high-rise intake manifold and a holly 6-pack; you not only will pass emission control tests, but you'll get all the horsepower and torque you are supposed to get.
You do have to manually adjust it every month or so, but it's easier than compiling.
Surprisingly enough, I got all the information I needed on
CNET (which I've hated since they killed
winfiles, BTW).
I did actually look at some of the more pro places, but I was seeing on
various message boards strong suspicion that a lot of reviews were just
advertisements (No! Say it ain't so!), so I figured a place that allowed user
reviews and provided general specs would be the place to go.
I ended up with a JVC GR-D30U, which is a low-end Mini-DV camera. I do
semi-pro animation, and I'd been wanting something that would capture video at a
decent resolution so I could play with
green screening.
This one does 520 lines horizontal, has a 680,000 pixel CCD, 16x Optical Zoom,
and is better than a military grade starlight scope when you turn on the night
alive feature (only about.5fps, though); I have night video of a herd of deer
on my property from about 300' where you can count the points on the antlers
easily.
A copy of Ulead Media Studio, Firewire, and this camera is all you really
need. I fully expect it to either wear out or be hopelessly obsolete with 1.5-2
years, but at less that $500, who cares?
I always preferred the slogan coined by my great-great-great Grandfather, "Live free or Kill somebody!". Apparently, it wouldn't fit on the flag, so they went with the shorter version; personally, I think "Live free or Kill!" would have gotten the point across, but perhaps I'm confused about the standard usage of speech in those days; there seems to be a lot of that going around.
Yup. That is our secret. We are either "too into the network side of things" to understand the hardware, or "too into the hardware side of things" to understand the software. You can ask me for SOME Linux help; I was a HPUX / Xenix sysadmin before switching to the dark side. As to the Macs, I haven't touched one since the last time I powered down my Lisa.
Are you a bot? I remember seeing that exact same post in other threads relating to possibly underhanded activities being taken by the Gov. I don't use a Tin Foil Hat, that is a concept used to marginalize their critics by the JBT's. besides, I don't need one in my farraday cage.
Duh. Guys. Think about it for a minute. A FBI guy being helpful, and openly answering questions. Obviously, it's disinformation, saying what is exactly opposite to the truth. This indicates to me VERY strongly that the JBT's have managed to get keylogger software on ALL new Macs, right out of the box. As IBM compatables come from hundreds of sources, they couldn't possibly install DRM/Keyloggers in all the machines without it being common knowledge; since Mac is single source, it would be pretty easy.
The technology to do this is already pretty commonly available; oddly enough, one of the major developers in the field (Curious Labs) was just purchased by a japanese company... But seriously, folks, this wouldn't be hard, not even to do well, only some really basic python added on to a existing product. I still think it will bomb, except for online retailing but it should be great for that.
Can you run: Masters of Magic? Transport Tycoon Deluxe? Lets see... Privateer? Nope? Thats why. Of course, finding Dos drivers for new AC97 sound devices may be a problem. (I can also think of some "serious" software that only works well on a straight Dos machine, but most of it won't run on new hardware, either).
How the hell was my parent post a "troll"???

Download the Library of Congress.
According to my calculations, it'll take about 9.7 hours.
Of course, you will have to get it all digitized first.
3D studio Max is NOT dead, it's not even sick.
They only got rid of the Discreet combustion team, and put a new team in its place.

Now THAT is insightful.
I just wrote an immense diatribe that involed Linus, VB for DOS and Fortran, then realized it was silly, and deleted it.
Yup.
Unless the Germans really get interested in the concept.
According to the history books, they go kind of nuts on things occasionally.
If I could understand that, I'd probably disagree.

As this is almost certainly the vehicle by which DRM will become all-encompassing, perhaps we should do something about stopping it.
I doubt we can, of course, but stranger things have happened.
If you are a U.S. Citizen, it is your job to protect yourself against this sort of thing.
Get to it.

Don't even think it.

Well, maybe an Amiga.
