Well actually linux has quite a fex break ins. Linux will protect you from just some random hacker, but if you want to defend against a hardcore dedicated attack you may need something stronger. In not trolling im ust saying that although I use linux I know its not the MOST secure thing out there, but it is a whole lot more useful than some solaris server OS which i cant run winex on :)

Well freeciv is not so much about destroying other civs as making yours great. You cna use diplomacy, war, or even economic attacks to take out other civs, btu the main point of the game is to build up yourself which may or may not require taking out competition. Personally i play a lot of free civ and im pretty good at it and i find too often newbs try to muscle their way into an empire, next time you play try to appease the foes who you beleive will not take out aggressive action in the future.

At my school someimtes some kids stay after but nothing is official and only a couple of computers actually can play these games. A better option is to play star craft which only requires a 90mhz box. The problem comes in when licencing issues come up but this can be ovoided by playing games such as freecraft or freeciv. I would sudjest freeciv because it is easy to set up and you dont have to worry about violence.

if your really want a console to read cd-r buy a dreamcast... here is ow much one costs:

    wait is that it?... YES...
you can buy a keyboard and mouse if you want but to get linux on you need no kit... just downlaod a dreamcast distro and burn it onto a rgular cd-r

not only is it easy but its better than the ps2... the ps2 has 4 megabytes of video ram which have an insame amount of bandwidth... although it can equal the dreamcasts 8 meg opengl (w/full screen antialiasing of course :)) the ps2 is more difficult to prgram for because you must constanly squeez the video bandwidth with swapping textures and that is a bitch to code into your programs...

so if you want a hackers toy get a dreamcast... you can get a 10/100 mb network card for it jsut like the ps2 and its FAR easier to program for

First of all i get a nice time to step back and defrag my mind during the long ass reboot, and second if i was working for 8 hours straight like yoru supposed to I would go nuts. If every couple of hours somehting is wrong and it takes me a half an hour to fix it thats fun time for me. I enjoy messing with computers and it gives me a quick break. :) am i alone?
