From reading the article it seems Sony want you to be able to play games with your mobile phone. Perhaps this is partly because of the portability of the PocketStation.
In the U.K. we call them motorised scooters. Somebody was arrested for using one whilst drunk and their defence was that the Highway Code didn't say it was illegal. Prehaps this is why these States are bringing out laws about it to prevent problems like this.
Yes - "video games" - but Pong is so far back in the mists of time of video gaming it's hardly fun to watch for more than a few minutes compared to todays graphically lush offerings!
In answer to your questions the answer is: 1) Yes 2)Yes - but not in all cases. 3) No. 4) Well if one computer gets infected - say through an employee getting an infected e-mail it means it doesn't spread to the rest of the network (a good thing).
The problem with these all in one gadgets is that they have a far greater tendency to go wrong (or baffle/ confuse the user) than the more simple ones.
is how slowly it's going - despite no end of speculation as to where it's going & what benefits it'll bring. I remember reading something somewhere that Japan's business community had invested the profits from microprocessor exports into nanotech. Maybe that's why America wants to slow down on researching nanotech - because the Japenese have already got a big head start.
I rememberseeing something like this on TV a few years ago where you had to blink instead of a mouse click. How on earth do you get away with not blinking though?
I think the CIA wouldn't be talking about it if it was actually likely to happen. However if it did and they couldn't stop it (after they didn't get any more funds) they could always say I told you so.
There was that court case against (Symantec?) where the State of New York ruled that they couldn't use the EULA to make sure they got good reviews - and they had to pay a fine for each illegal EULA they had.
"Defining genres is almost never that exact." In fact our local library agrees with you so much on that that their sci-fi section is called sci-fi/ fantasy.
Well all I can say is that I tried McAfee and it didn't work - maybe they've updated their virus definitions since then! There are a few different forms of the virus too - so maybe it detects some and not others. The thing I've found is hybris.gen as it modifies this key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunOnce - and if you delete that one it switches to HKEY_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi on\RunOnce.As no other virus exhibits this sort of behaviour I'm sure I know what it is!

Yes but it's not good business practice in the long run to make all your customers angry with you so I really doubt they're doing this deliberately as a long-term strategy. As to their explanation that it's a "typo" - why don't you believe them. I've seen spelling and grammatical errors in "professionally designed webpages" by people who should know better than to proof read their pages first! The odd error is to be expected now and then as it's people inputting the data and they tend to make mistakes.
I did - sent off the WSOCK32.DLL file and got an e-mail back saying it wasn't infected! Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who has/ knows about this virus! If you want like me to send it to you to have a go at detecting it yourself just e-mail me at level80uk2@REMOVETHECAPSyahoo.co.uk .

Do you know of a site I can download it from - or would a search on WS_FTP and download be sufficient?
Does anyone know if there's a non-spyware version of CuteFTP?

This reminds me of a group at my local university that was collecting old PCs for free, then selling them to students.
If you're going to have a robot that looks like the "sister of Terminator" - why name it a sissy name like Priscilla?
No doubt they'll be also issuing manuals for users that are full of pictures with arrows to show them how to build them!

or Kazaa Lite (read the news about them recently)?
And for the few of us who don't have flash - would someone mind describing the animation?

I think they're referring to what was used to make the whole film - not just the final render.
On the Amiga I remember mounting a drive in RAM that would survive a soft reset. Now what do you call that - memory or storage?
I'm really not bothered who supports Microsoft at their trial. As long as Intel and AMD are in competition with each other - I'll be happy.
This is a spoof right?
I thought of "Eat my Linux" and "Don't have a KDE man" and then decided that they were a little pathetic!
