Well I've heard of neither of them. As far as I'm aware the WWF is the Worlwide Fund for Nature - so what sport does this star athlete/ entertainer do then - butterfly collecting? It's what happens when you're British and boring I suppose.
I agree - but there are ways to prevent people from deep linking to an image - try following a link to an image on geocities - you won't be able to do it!
As to deep linking to a page - well they should be written better!
What if the "original" OS is Linux - and was downloaded from the web? Then there'd be no installation disks. Methinks this is Microsoft up to their old tricks again. Just the original disks are no guarantee anyway - I've seen some very convincing fake Windows OS CDs in my time - in fact if I hadn't been told I wouldn't have known they were fake they were that convincing!
Not forgetting that.hprn will be a Microsoft file format and therefore have an anti-tardis effect on your hard drive. (BTW for those who don't know the TARDIS was bigger in the inside than it looked from the outside).
"I bet 5 years from know you will be able to emulate any OS, just run it under linux. So far I have Mac OS 9, VMWare, Amiga, Atari, N64, PS, DreamCast, Mame, C64, etc..." - yes but still to legally emulate them you have to own the ROMS (ie have the machine in the first place) - which makes you wonder why people bother emulating a machine they already have.;o)
People will always want to read the book in the handy paper format! But on a related note I know plenty of people who've downloaded MP3s - then bought the CD for the one they like - without the free version being available in the first place they would never have heard of it - and the artist would've sold less copies.
Unreality's hands-on UT2003 preview
April 17-2002 by Preacher
Last weekend I got an invite to come to London for a game or 50 of Unreal Tournament 2003. Mark Rein sent me a mail sunday, saying I could come by monday for the test. Not only did I break a toe last week, but it woulda been impossible for me to go with such short notice anyway, so I did the second best thing. I decided to ask an english guy if he wanted the job. Luckily eVOLVE was at hand in our chatroom (#unreality on EnterTheGame), and he was more than happy to have a go at the game. (Lucky bastid)
I sent him off with orders to wear something sassy, plus wink a lot to Jay Wilbur and Mark Rein, oh, and to get a lot of info.
This is what he delivered to me earlier today:
(Mark Rein promised us he would send along a shot or two from the game, and we will be posting them as soon as they arrive)
Unreal Tournament 2003 - Hands-on Preview
I never really enjoyed the previous Unreal games... Well actually I did, but I felt that Unreal Tournament 2003 is so shockingly great that you needed a smaller shock to soften the blow. Yes, that's true, on behalf of Unreality I was invited to a private room in a cybercafe somewhere near London to view and play UT2003. And you better believe it was worth it.
For those of you who don't already know, UT2003 is the next planned release in the Unreal game series, intended as a kind of sequel to Unreal Tournament, and providing the multiplayer aspect to the series. Where UT had 5 player models to choose from out of the box, UT2003 will have almost ten times as many. Where UT had a pretty liberal poly limit, UT2003 has on average 100 times as high a limit. How is this possible using what is basically an enhanced version of the engine? Well, we'll get onto that later... Lets start with what really matters, the gameplay.
Or the old adage - don't look a gifthorse in the mouth.
Welcome to the Cult of Intel. I am your leader Banias. [giggles from the back of the room]
What's MSFT?
Well 95% of the mail I get is junk mail - so they can read that all they like!
Yes but it's been called that to fool people into thinking that too support it is patriotic.

The FCC wouldn't approve it if it interfered with other users on different frequencies.
Yes - it's just another example of how technologically illiterate journalists are.
Seems Duron's not as durable as it's name would suggest.
Just create a new one with false information ...oh sorry that's what people do to start with!
They're saying it isn't.

Ah - the /. effect - kills all known sites dead.
What or who is 'The Rock'?

brings a whole new meaning to that advertising slogan:
"so easy a child could do it"... and the adult couldn't
Fed up of the phone ringing while you're watching TV - now you can watch TV and speak on the phone at the same time!
