People would, then, just purchase "Quest farming services." Really, it's all about a desire to have something--once deemed "extra"--right now. If there is any currency, item, or otherwise interactive portion that requires "earning" (even quests) to obtain, people will attempt to hock & purchase it.
Given that people cannot (unless they live in Chicago) vote "en masse" (more than one vote)... yes, votes do count--just not in the way you're implying.
And if those Hummers and Ferraris had higher than 3MPG [*not real figure], then the owners (and, technically, the environment) would benefit, correct? I don't think anyone would argue against improving the quality of gas consumption across the board.
Don't tax people on what they drive, but how much energy they consume.
Raising the MPG in vehicles would do this by proxy. It isn't precisely a Bad Thing(TM) to have more efficient vehicles in addition to consciously cutting back.
[...]please, don't judge us based on our "representatives".
This sounds much like how any country would judge another country: based on who that country allows to stay in power. Regardless of whether or not you approve of your elected officials, they did get there with help from 'yer votes. If you don't like them or want them there, get someone competent to run and vote him/her in instead.
I sympathize with ESA's substantive postion, but: it's a bad idea for the courts to award legal fees for overturning laws passed by the people's legislature.
That's bad for democracy.
No. Purposefully passing unconstitutional legislation is bad for democracy. We shouldn't have to strike that sort of bullcrap down.
We didn't want to elect him the first time. He was actually the lesser of two evils. Illinois' problem is that we never get politicians running for office that aren't horribly incompetent, morally bankrupt, or otherwise just plain awful.
At least the Democrats' corruption doesn't destroy the country.
Incorrect. The Dems destroy the country just swell, just in a different manner than Repubs. The theory is that the constant back-and-forth switching creates some kind of eventual balance where the country isn't fully destroyed.
It's a pretty large leap from the traditional interface (and possible scenario setup), which might irk some people. But, it is that sort of thing that is refreshing to others. Personally, I enjoyed it quite immensely, but then again I also very much enjoyed the archeypes for the system (presumably a variation of the FFT/A scenario system and a battle system akin to FFXI's).
You mean like the Gameboy Player addition for the GCN? Given the Revolution's aim to be able to emulate many (or most) of the older games for their older systems, I suspect you won't have much of a problem with your desire.
Let the author of this article know what you think about this. He runs Game Politics.com and has asked for opinions on his actions (yesterday's news post).
Personally, I prefer the answer, "Find a new guild."
"Even if CDs do become damaged, replacements are readily available at affordable prices."
Let's see here.
Original CD price: $16.99 Backup CD price: $0.30
Any specific reason I should be required to pay approximately fifty-six times more money to replace a scratched/mutilated CD?

It'd be one thing if he was making decent (or better) movies on a minimal budget.. but instead, he's making terrible movies on a minimal budget--something that's been done for many years (and often with large budgets, too!). At least if his movies were "bad" they could be considered "good" but instead they're just trash.
Advertisers: Stay out of my fucking game.
Indeed. Instead, you get harrassed and fired if you don't meet quotas for a shitty "product." (service plans)

Sweet zombie Jesus. I do believe I'll be waiting on the much more sane $199 price-point. I have no desire to invest in a Neo*Geo.
If one cannot afford to pay to mount a legal defense, you either pay, or you PAY. Innocence does not mater.

In Soviet Australia, Government monitors YOU.
...oh, wait.

That's why previews are largely worthless. To paraphrase H.J.Simpson, "(More) Tomb Raider? How can I lose?!"
Just out of curiousity, what didn't you like?

Yahoo Games might have prior on this one (in addition to many, many others..), unless I missed something?
Where's the moderation, "+1 Scary, but true.." when you need it?

You said it all. To ignore a crime committed is not a very good precident to openly set.
...wait, I thought censorship was bad and UnAmerican(TM)?
Are we getting some hot 'MS OFfice EX plus alpha' action soon? Maybe 'Super MS Office XII: Third Strike Champion Hyper Edition'?

He's no Warhol.
You could simply.. I dunno.. report the bigot and get them suspended/banned? Maybe that's too hard?
