Lois: I'm gonna go get some oranges Stewie. Here, hold the rest of these bags for mommy." Stewie: Oh, what brilliant parenting Lois. Leave a tiny infant with a plastic bag. You know I might asphyxiate myself just to teach you a lesson. Here I go. Just like that boy from INXS..(Stewie tries to put bag over top of his head.) Stewie: I'm going to do it! (Tries to put bag over left side of his head then climbs into it and tries pulling it over his head.) Stewie: BLAST! Good Lord Lois, either I was a c-section, or you're Wonder Woman!
Here's an EVF test for you (I've never done this, just looked at a few EVFs at the stores): Put the camera in continuous shoot mode and take as many frames of a running soccer player, surfer, or any other action shots. Can the EVF/LCD keep up with the panning so you are able to frame each shot? What about frame rate?
(although it might drive a few away on idological grounds, but I doubt more than a handfull).
That's the problem with people around here. What's so hard about "Don't like it, change the bloody channel". And for all the won't-someone-please-think-of-the-children folks, enlighten your kids why you're changing the bloddy channel.
The public will find out eventually, which is what I'm depending on will lead to the eventual elimination of the broadcast flag, or increase in 'underground' equipment hacked together by dropout EE students.
Let's say a "big television event" is about to start. Johnny loads in a T-120GB digital-recording media into his newly purchased HD-VCR and goes to record [sports event, pay-per-view pr0n, etc] and is confronted with:
ERROR: BROADCAST IS FLAGED. I CANNOT ALLOW YOU TO RECORD, JOHNNY.
Time to write up that report...Let's fire up the word processor. (1 app)
Okay, now need to calculate some values, so fire up the spreadsheet app. (2 app)
Let's add some photos from either the camera or scanner. First, some cropping and post-processing is needed. Fire up the image manipulation software (3 app)
How about we add a quote from an online article. Fire up the web browser (sorry...all out of app slots)
# Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks. # Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first. # This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.
Why? Because when I download a linux iso cd(s), I want it NOW!. Plus the insanely massive bandwidth would allow me to easily scp files between work/home/school computers.
Although she probably should have stood up for principles, its a different story when you have a family to feed, house and car to pay off, etc etc. Its the same deal when my HS AP English teacher came under fire for teaching Ginsberg's "Howl" poem. He certainly gave some resistance, but he did say utimately there's a balance between being 'right' and appeasing superiors.

Windows: loads their CD player without asking, crashes system.
try holding shift before loading CD and hold until CD stops spining in drive.
This assumes all the people you associate with share the same network (ie click) without any overlap from other networks. But I suppose as you introduce and get introduced to more people you start to expand.
Again...maybe you don't want others (even if they're your friends) joining in on your party for the night.
Watch enough Seinfeld and you'll notice the buddies of Jerry, George, Kramer, and Elaine often clash. Obviously something like this wouldn't go too well in this case.
risking the chances of being branded a fanboy but...
Security issues are one reason, usability is another. Lets say you need to do a quick search on a topic and Google returns many good sites to refer to. With Mozilla, Konqueror, Opera and the like, you can bring up all "child" sites in tabs so that you can easily flip back and forth between the pages. Quite useful for quoting and citing information for a paper. With IE, you're pretty much limited to opening all the pages in separate windows, which is fine when you have 2-3, but counterproductive after that. You'll end up with either many tiny IE tasks on the taskbar, or many IE tasks grouped together, or a very cluttered desktop.
IE6+SP2 apparently adds pop-up blocking, but what about limiting what Javascript can do? Does it give the option to allow/deny scipts to -move or resize existing windows -raise or lower windows -hide the status bar -change status bar text -change images -etc, etc?
How about cookie permissions? Can IE let you limit cookie life to current session?, allow/block cookies based on sites, or is it still a plain YES|NO when prompting is enabled?
**Disclaimer: I haven't used IE6 much, so I could have missed something that IE now features.
The Intro Sociology professor last semester suggested people who hadn't bought the book yet to lump together and buy 1 book and copy the sections needed. This was after exclaiming "it's robbery" when discussing the price of the textbook.
Google for "Free Speech Zones" and you'll find it's (ab)used by both Republicans and Democrats. For those in power, ignorance is bliss and shall be reflected in the media so that the pubic doesn't see the oppositions.
The way I see it, you paid for the lectures. The material is presented for you to learn. Typically you take notes with pen and paper and its expected that you do. Now, if you bring in a audio recorder its the same thing as pen and paper, but takes more samples. Personally I wouldn't do this since it has a lot of "noise" (Would you really want to sit through the whole recording again??). What I would recommend if you need to copy down a lot of examples is to bring a good camera with you and snap away.
$699 seems a bit expensive for linux.
Symantec probably hired H&R Block to do their taxes this year.

I suggest doing the same comparison for web search on human rights and other topics.

I'm pretty sure back then transistors costed a tad bit more than ~$0.04 ea in 2000 packs.

88 Ford Focus? I think you mean Ford Escort or Tempo. Focus was introduced mid to late 90's.
