I like using XConfigurator You're right about not needing it lately. However it's been useful for notebook displays of uncommon resolution. (my 14" 1400x1050) Xconfigurator is the only way I know how to get it working properly.
maybe the animation would be more believeable is the soundtrack was done by Aerosmith. [film: armageddon] This project looks like the next evolution of the EKG (Exo-Atmospheric kill Vehicle) Project.
yeah, I kinda get like this when balancing my checkbook. Of course I can do all of the calcultions on the back of a napkin,...but if I don't have EXCEL fired up and ready to organize my monthly expenses I get irritated. sigh* what a looser am I.
I read in anandtech's forum that this drive is only 375Gb formatted to NTFS. therefore it would only be a.375Tb kinda gay sounding if you ask me. Just for the record, this drive has only 1 purpose, to be RAIDed out.
We've just recently received FREE wifi via cometa at our local Barnes and Noble (ultra left-liberal book sellers). They've got a setup where they lease an IP to any MAC address for 2 hours per day. Great for sketchy p2p sessions w/ 1.8Mbit uploads.
I used to lean towards Kevin Norton's side when arguing with Leo... but I didn't want him off the show. Now this?! Absolutely no more reason to have digital cable.:( say* did anyone else like the Spy School show?
Use Chewing Gum Just become one of those obnoxious people who ALWAYS chew gum with their mouth open. Not just good for your teeth, now it's protecting your privacy! See you can think or read to yourself while chwewing gum, right?
umm, the RIAA has been catching lots of people by setting up music file "honeypots" where peeps dl the song straight from the RIAA spook's servers. scarry mang.
Tovaris, You've got a special case. Peeps understand the trials and tribulations as a small firm....just don't be stupid and buy a company Hum-Vee or something....a small ISP in Flagstaff, AZ did that... as their customer service quality immediately dropped, I suspect some cut salaries were to blame. It pisses off the customers as well.
Keep the 79 chevy pickup around....but forecast for long term growth.
I was lucky enough to go to an affordable excellent engineering college. I graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering...however I almost opted to graduate with a second B.S. in Computer Science Engineering (C.S. + low level hardware + logic), I bailed 4 units shy of the minor.
I encourage anyone looking for a good education to find a smaller school where the student teacher ratio is reasonable...not for the whole University, but for the college of engineering.
[now working as a "professional"] I'm considering a masters as well. I'm having trouble deciding whether to go --> C.S. or Engineering. My heart and interest lies with both.
Any suggestions on larger research universities that cater to working graduate students, like Stanford (C.S. focus) or UC Davis (Engineering focus) Umm oh yeah, my work should pay for it too;-) -Fore
ToKsUri were you on a wireless network, or a public accessable unswitched network?

The telephone has always been a useful tool to the tech savvy. Of course it helps to be nice on the telephone. Maybe you'd even get a date out of it?

Mags I read in the store but wouldn't pay for:
Max PC -- these guys are mostly idiots, but you occasionally pick up something.
I've been disgusted with most mainstream PC mags as of late.
anandtech.com
tomshardware.com
hardocp.c
is where I go for hardware related news.
maybe it's time to update

Can't I just get a T-Shirt, and *SAY* I participated?

Just like in DeusEX 1 when the Daedelus AI asks you to free him and join with you to rule the world.

get worse before it gets better? ...is there getting better?
I'm floored to have a job. Friends are being given pink slips, and headed back to school for the holidays.
If your company's got the dough to hand out a bobble head, THAT'S a good sign your company doesn't need to do layoffs.
