    Vote counting and candidate selection shouldn't be hard to implement...

    The only challenges is making it secure and accountable but these 2 problems should already have solutions.

    You have to ask your self how the hell do you screw up simple voting?

    Mod parent up. This is exactly what I do. For the longest time the song Pepper by the Butthole Surfers was driving me nuts because the Band name and name of the song always escaped me and no one ever remembered the song when I described the lyrics to them.

    One night I entered what I remembered into google and BANG it found the song.

    You could use a WI-FI adapter and make free calls from hot-spots or at home.

    I coded an online database form that had over 200 questions and several thousand fields (no not all displayed at once).

    The coding wasn't hard but it was vary repetitive and boring.

    There aren't many CD's that can't be riped with 99 - 100% quality with this program.

    You can also set it up to use LAME to encode to mp3 as it rips.

    It does not come with an antenna so I believe it would be highly dependant on the antenna you connect it too.

    I would rate it average.

    I just picked up an ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 9600 Pro it has both a built in TV tuner and an FM Radio tuner. You can time shift both TV and RADIO programs with the included ATI software.

    You would use DVD Decrypter to created a decrypted ISO then you would mount it with a virtual drive like www.daemon-tools.cc

    Very easy.

    It may also be that MS is waiting for the Intel product so that they don't have to make massive code changes if Intel's implementation is somewhat different than AMDs.

    This is a very good point. If using ethanol directly is too costly how are we going to use hydrogen made from ethanol efficently?

    Most of the DVR units out there come as part of a Satellite system or come with a subscription fee.

    You can make your own system with an on-screen guide, time shifting and the ability to play DIVX movies and games for rather cheap now.
    The retail units still don't play DIVX or Apple .MOV files well and are vary limited.

    Have you ever setup an Icecast or Shoutcast server? Unless they have DRASTICLY changed the interfaces I found it a HUGE PITA. Something like setting up a streaming server then ruining a copy of winamp with a special plug-in that plays the files by streaming to the server then streaming to the clients. Both the Real server and the Windows media server are SUPER SIMPLE to setup and use.

    Form my research RAID 5 has slower Write performance than a single drive do the the parity calculation, BUT it has faster read performance as long as all of the drives are functioning.

    Raid 0 or 0 + 1 are both faster than Raid 5 any day but 0 has not redundancy and 0 + 1 costs you 50% of your hardware to redundancy.

    Raid 5 is a good trade off.

    I found the same thing. The headache is often from dehydration so water or juice are good things to drink, but I found that I needed to get the sugar boost back as well so juice works better untill you have been off the cola and coffee for a few weeks.

    Once your off it for a while you will probably start to sleep better and feel better.

    low priority and low CPU use are not the same thing. low priority just means that almost any other program can take over the CPU any time it wants.

    Here in Canada our population is spread out even more than than the US.
    We also seem to have the most high-speed internet options.
    There are Microwave based ISPs here that offer 2 way communication at 10Mbits /s making it faster than the ADSL and Cable options. These ISPs tend to service the outskirts of the cites. The service costs a little more than ADSL or Cable.

    Consumers are not conserned with the OS or the Hardware.. They just want to do stuff with their PC.

    I hope Walmart is prepared for the MASS software or system returns when people contiue to puchase Windows software and think it will run on this system.
