The point he was making was that any substance known to man "has the capability to cause death or serious injury" Chalk, WD-40, gasoline, soda, cigarettes, et al have the capability to cause serious injury or death when consumed and to some extent contain toxic chemicals. Thus this definition is seriously flawed and could be used to arrest people even if they haven't done anything wrong (aside from working for Dow Chemical). As a CME major, that scares the crap out of me.
If you use GDM to open multiple X's, switching from one to another starts xscreensaver (in blank screen mode), so a password is required to switch back.
I don't remember what switch I made, Win3.1 -> Win95, 486 -> 586, etc, but the bottom half of the screen was covered in lines and shapes. If anyone ever had this problem and found a fix, I'd appreciate a response.
In theory, the interface is more efficient and you'll get more work done. Of course, my Word 6 for Windows 3.1 has everything I need, so stick with whatever version is the best for you.
In regards to your sig, it took several hundred years to make the ark, and I don't have that much time on my hands. I guess I'll just risk the Titanic.
From what I saw in "Search for the Double Helix" (I assume its fairly accurate), Watson and Crick actually beat Franklin to the discovery, if I remember correctly, they did it a bit dishonestly.
But, yeah, Franklin should have recieved some mention, seeing as she did get a nobel prize for it.
We can only hope against hope that they won't suck. Have you seen anything in the past few years that would make you think they wouldn't suck?
I still want my money back from Episode I, and don't get me started with Episode II. "Attack of the Clones" ?!? When the **** were they attacking? It had almost nothing to do with those clones!
It should really be up to the scientists whether or not to censor their findings. They truely understand the implications of their findings more than anyone else, and if someone else (editors) do it, we could be faced with a sort of USSR situation stagmenting scientific research.
I don't want to die, but I don't want to live in a world without freedom.
You should be able to set up your own keyboard map and touch type (or draw on your keyboard).
It isn't the most elegant method, but you can really optimise your keyboard usage.
I personally like the current setup (on standard PCs, don't get me started with mac keyboards), everything is right where it needs to be for speedy use. I wouldn't dream of using anything else, especially since I touch typed this comment.
I think the best innovation in back buttons is by far the 5 button mouse. It makes it so your mouse never has to leave the actual page (to go to a toolbar).
But more importantly, it rationalizes the existance of the pinky.
Looking at the skewed listbox, is Longhorn's theming going to be vector based? Maybe WVG?
Seems like adding those features just responds to that message.
http://wiki.gimp.org/gimp/WindowsInstall Not sure how old it is though.
Any key on the keyboard. 'Bout time someone told me. That explains why pressing my car key wouldn't work.

Anyone got ideas for what to do with an old GBA?
I'll take it.
IMHO, any time a program crashes due to human error, it is the programmer's fault for not forseeing the event and thus a program error.
I couldn't imagine supporting a government that would go to war for land, use chemical and atomic weapons, commit genocide, not follow the conventions of war, or devalue human life.

Welcome to the 1960s.
The trash can in my room looks just like that, does that count as prior art?

Just an interesting instance:
The latest web based Yahoo! Chat client is DHTML based as opposed to its Java predecessor.

So I must write the coolest programs on the planet!
Since I've seen a lot of posts addressing Google (usually along the lines of Best browser in the universe), I'll post a few interesting Google links:
http://www.google.com/options/ (googlize every aspect of your life)
http://labs.google.com/gviewer.html (for us lazy people)
http://labs.google.com/keys/index.html (who needs a mouse?)
http://catalogs.google.com/ ( Shopping at stores -> Shopping with catalogs -> Shopping online -> Shopping with catalogs online (What is this world coming to?!?!))
Google is the best (It seems to be the general concensus) not only in speed/results, but also in development and creativity.
File down an iBook.
You mean peel an Apple?
Thats why they need a space escilator.
