    What eye strain?

They use to say not to watch TV in the dark. Your pupil dilates in the dark, more light gets in than would normally, greater stress to the eye happens. Now, the CAO says watching TV in day light conditions is equally as dangerous, but that overall reading is more dangerous to your eyes. Well, if I have these eyes, but can't use them, what good are they? According to this link, the CAO also suggests you shouldn't watch TV with sunglasses on (sic). Well, what else am I supposed to use these Ray Bans for?

Total downloads is a totally honest way of reporting success. It's not a count of users or a measurement of their satisfaction, but it is a pretty good yard stick of success in the market place. Only a complete moron would think that 15 million downloads = 15 million satisfied unique users. Just like McDonald's "X Billion (products) served" does not equal X billion satisfied unique customers. Some are repeat customers, some were one time users, many weren't satisfied. But, unless the product was desireable for whatever reason, the number of products sold never would have gotten so high.

Another huge factor is Hollywood's expected time to return on it's investments. Huge blockbusters use to play for months, sometimes years in the theater, earning their money back slowly. In today's market a film is expected to hit big the first weekend, or it's considered a failure. It's hard to make $200 million back in two or three days. This is one reason why their are so many remakes and sequels being made. They want instant brand name recognition.

Sadly, when I was younger and full of anger, I believed this as well. Then a little real world education woke me up. After meeting and working with some incredibly intelligent people in college and the engineering world that believe in religion, but are still logical, critical thinkers, I've settled down on my "if you believe in God you're a moron" hypothesis. I still have my atheist beliefs, they have their religious ones. But, being well educated, they understand how I came upon my beliefs. I am starting to understand why they believe theirs. Almost ALL of them that I've asked believe evolution should be taught in school, religion should be taught in church/at home.

Doesn't really matter. Words come, words go. A dictionary is not an official document that tells people what are and are not words (though it's often used as such). Rather, a dictionary is a catalog of the words that people commonly use. Any word that gets widely used should be added to the dictionary. Dictionaries change with time (new words are added). Ideally, words would be deleted from dictionaries as they fall out of use, but they are usually kept it. Sometimes the tag "archaic" or "older use" is added behind them to signify that the words are no longer in common use or if their definition has changed over time. e.g., the wordgay.
