bullshit, there is no island, there are no photos of mid ocean plastic "island" only photos of garbage found inland or in dumps or staged photos in small bodies of water. Another lefty lib lie aimed at destroying our economy.
Like the biggest price hike in their history was made in the US only on July 4th (not this 4th but a previous one), and there famous "no internet sales" fan slap. Suck it fans suck it long and suck it hard.
They still don't get it, the Internet is not this easily defined thing that you can wrap thier minds around, its not about formats or drm or even email its about information. Anything thats describable as 1's and 0's can be transmitted over the internet, its like saying everytime you call a cab over a landline phone you have to pay a tax, uh no. How many ways can you now transmit info over the net now (?) its nearly infinite.
No rebate program is as bad as Circut city's..horror storys. Lots and Lots of passing the buck when try to get your rebate, oh yeah you "have to" send in your original documents for your rebate so you have nothing to back it up.
That's right Circut city you ----SUCK!!----
1 person using a 100.00 laptop for 10 hours a day or 10 people using a 1000.00 laptop for an hour a day each. While only an hour that person could probably get more done than with the 1000.00 kiosk machine and more people could gain access too it.
Is due to one and only one fact, that is that buyers can get good deals, if a new auction site had the money to subsidize auction sellers for a few months while buyers got really good deals ebay would have a real problem, remember buyers are only one click away.
Going at the bottom of all my ads:
"Since AOL has seen fit to *leave* the email system you will have to use a valid email system to reach me and the vast majority of the internet.
Sucks to be you."
The real reason for this ruling is to find a way to give child porn downloaders more jail time, reason or precident have no meaning. If prosecuters can finagle or subvert any method of logic to make J6P think that they are "protecting the children" TM then by god thats what they are going to do.
Its taken what, 15 years to get to the point of saying "The results offer hope for a microbicide that can prevent the spread of HIV, which now affects about 40 million people." the point that we have taken this long to get to the "hope" point bodes ill for science's ability to respond to emerging threats or to bioterriorism.
Wow what a choice, be evil or be cut out of the defining market of the 21st century. China will not always be under communist rule its certain that there will be a government change eventually (although it will take alot longer with these controls in place) and Google needs to be there.

My analog hole is a 21 Panasonic monitor with a Digital Video Camera. Not saying of course that I would violate DRM. Just sayin.
If there was ever a time for slashdots to be active politically it is now, this is a wake up call that the Internet as we know it is in jeopardy. What this new ISP movement really is all about is to remold the Internet into what Gore invisioned originally, that is a wholly owned and controlled network primary based on cable technology.
Favoring content delivery over customer participation, the original concept for the "information super highway" was basically a one way street from the providers to the customers with the consumers having very little control. The Internet is not what he and the corps envisioned and they are pissed that they can't generate decent income streams from it (at least the majority of corps the innovators like google are able to but being an innovator is to hard for most corps).
As for liability the isps had better think about this real hard before they leap into content control, I'm sure the lawyers are licking their chops as the possibility for massive waves of lawsuits dance in their heads. From the article
"The network neutrality principle has served ISPs, Internet companies, and Internet users well. It has enabled ISPs to plausibly argue that they function much like common carriers and that they should therefore be exempt from liability for the content that passes through their systems. "

Actually I thought it was the money that we pay for oil that the arab governments then use to pay the terrorists off so they don't go after them.
