    Great, now all they need to do is genetically modify humans, so that we don't get cancers and diseases from these weed killers.
    Anything that can kill a plant, ain't good for humans, just look at agent orange, if you need an example. I'd rather live with weeds than die of cancer, myself.

    If you want to provide you child with the lifelong burden of explaining his/her name to every bureaucrat encountered in his lifetime then do it.
    You'd really have to do it for your own ego/reasons, because that type of name is no benefit to a child, it will merely be a lifelong handicap.
    If you want to give your child some type of disadvantage that he won't even understand the implications of, then it's perfect.
    If you want to burden a child like this, for your amusement, it's stupid.

    Tea has more Caffeine by weight than Coffee does.

    Cup strength depends on how you brew it.
    Brewed coffee varies tremendously in strength, depending on who is making it.
    Tea often is brewed from pre-measured bags, although different brands put more or less in. For loose tea, it's up to the user.
    Yet another factor is how long you brew the beverage for.
    There are variations in different teas and coffees as well.
    So it really depends on whose cup of tea or coffee, you are talking about.
    The bottom line is that generally, tea leaves have more caffeine by weight, than coffee beans do.

    I beleve it's being looked at with an eye as to whether or not it's hospitable for any sustainable *human* life. Manned missions, base stations, etc.

    I'd like to add something to that.
    Some type of herbal tea, or other hot beverage.
    Especially in the winter time, seltzer won't be an adequate substitute for a hot cup of coffee.
    Find some other hot beverage, even if it's just hot water with milk and sugar.

    I believe that the GPL as written, benefits the *users* of free software, more than any.
    It assures that improved or modified code is cycled back into the community for their benefit, rather than locked away as some proprietary binary.

    I find it very sad and pathetic. Microsoft is like the dirty old, cheating, nagging evil spouse, whose eyes are welling with tears and questions when presented with the divorce papers, just prior to fighting a vicious tooth and nail court battle for property and custody.

    Yes, the market will decide.
    Unfortunately the market is a bunch of idiot cheapskates, and the cheaper technology will prevail over the superior technology.
    Witness the Betamax, nicer smaller cartridges, and the Apple Macintosh, with it's user base of hysterically proselytising devotees.
    But it's more expensive.
    Cheaper always wins the market.

    Yes, just check all your downloads, delete any fake files, relabel everything correctly, and the network will remain relatively clean.

    Yeah right. It looks like windows XP.
    It's not going to help the learning curve one bit.
    Now lets see you try to install your printer, scanner, get your sound card running, cd-rw, dvd, get realplayer running, use your palm pilot, burn a cd etc. etc.
    Yes it can be done.
    Is it easy? Not by a long shot, not without Googling for and reading compendious documentation, begging for help on IRC, and in general pounding your semi-computer-literate head against the wall for hours on end, searching for answers to questions you could care less about, all for the purpose of forcing your computer to do something that it will do practically by default with M$ WXP.

    Yes, telemarketing is worse than spam, this is long overdue. Spam sucks, but it won't wake you up in the morning with a commercial or recording of some inane gibberish trying to extract money from you. (Or more likely try and take advantage of some gullible elderly person).

    I don't see why apple can't become an OS vendor for PC hardware as well.
    I'm sure they could make money selling OSX for x86, in direct competition with Microsoft, as well as selling their fancy expensive hardware that everyone loves.
    Geez,if they matched the prices that Microsoft gets for their (schlock) product there would be a major revenue stream.
    Of course it would be an extra platform developers would have to write for.
