If there is no prison for the wrongful administration of prison, then that is an even bigger hypocrisy. We have the benefit of education, centuries of judicial experience. Some emotional restraint on the state's part is necessary. Besides, letting criminal free is cheaper than the over-extensive due process (necessary appeals to avoid the inevitable mistakes) necessary in prison convictions.

No. I am a principle in one of the largest AE (architectural engineering) firms in the county. Almost all building design firms (architects and structural engineers) use AutoCAD. I can count the exceptions on one hand. OTOH, we are currently moving to Revit, a 3D AutoDesk program. It was explicitly developed for building design.
I think many here are confusing solid modeling (mechnical engineering) with civil/structural/architectural drafting.

In fact he gets his hearing aids from the VA, and I have no problems with this. As a result, she no longer offers counselling services in this area (Long story but the lawsuit only applied to counselling services in a specific area of counselling). I hate these people (not all deaf people, just the stupid ones who feel it is their job the punish the hearing population because they can).
What is especially cool about sniper training is how they apply pressure to these points from a distance as great as 1000 meters. I mean, think of how hard it is to apply the vulcan nerve pinch from point blank range. Now imaging the same thing from even 10 meters, much less 1000! Amazing!

There is still not signficant difference. Winchester 45 ACP 230 grain JHP energy at 50 yards is 363 ft-lbs. Winchester 9mm Luger 115 grain JHP energy at 50 yards is 306 ft-lbs. At the muzzle the numbers are 383 vs 396 ft-lbs. OK, 20% more at 50 yards, but I do not think this is a signficant difference. Also, given that anyone shooting a pistol is most likely shooting at 25 years or less, I think it would not matter which one hit you.
BTW, the very small 7.62mm Tokarev (about.30 caliber) have a muzzle energy about 75% greater than the much larger.45 ACP. Why? Becuase is has a much higher muzzle velocity.
Actually, it is not quite that simple. Remember, muzzle energy is mv^2, and while a 45 apc has a higher mass, it has a lower velocity than a 9mm luger. In general, there is not a large difference between the muzzle energy of a 45 apc and 9 mm luger, and some 9mm luger cartridges have a higher muzzle energy than some 45 apc cartridges (they are both available in a bewildering variety of loads).
