    I agree 100%...

    I have noticed, as I am sure many others have as well, that without "radicals" in our society, everything would tend to move to the center. And as a result no change would occur... These "radicals" are needed to pull or push any system to a different (could be high or lower) state.

    You don't have to like RMS and people who share his ideology, but you have to respect their determination to change the world, or atleast a small part that they can influence.

    Without Radicals, everything would stagnate... Change is often a good thing, IMHO...

    Yeah, speed hackers are impossible to kill. If they get in trouble, they run, and you'll never catch them.

    The business plan is one of attrition, if 0.0x% of the population is stupid enough to buy their useless, overpriced widget they will make a profit. The only thing they have interms of overhead is bandwidth...

    I don't believe anyone will be able to make that percentage of people stupid enough get smaller, therefor the results are either: Spammers go out of business because of increased costs or more spam!

    I saw and read the site before it got suspended, the first part of the project (on the site atleast) was a pic of a portable DVD batter/charger... seems he raped that for the LiON, and rigged a charge meter on the back so you just flip the thing over and you can see how much juice is left... also looks to have an DC jack in the back as well.

    When it comes to portable video games the guy is no joke...

    The DC sniper shottings were not that impressive interms of distance, most were less than 100 yards. The only thing that is interesting is the modified backseat that allowed the shooter to fire from a prone position under complete cover out of a hole in the trunk. Never heard of anything like that before.

    I find it increasingly distrubing that the level of racist remarks on /. has increased of late.

    I realize that not everyone has the capacity for expressing their xenophobic tendencies in hopes to confront and thereby conquering them. But there are some who feel this is funny/mind-fsck'n, and is 'ok' for them. /. does have a history of really mind-numbing trolls, but this is just overt racism, and in no way acceptable.

    I bet when this technology becomes the norm for deep space probes they will use the gravitational sling shot effects rather than attach boosters. Its going to take a while for any deep space probe to get to its destination, so why not use free (as in mass) to help you get there?

    I wonder how much of a boost the Sun can give you? (ala Star Trek)
