They removed default compatibility for international domain names. I wonder how much of an impact this will have on foreign adoption of Firefox over IE
None. IIRC they just turned off IDN support, and did not remove it. If someone needs it, the can turn it back on.
IE has no IDN support without third party software, so Firefox is still a better choice if you need IDN support.
Meijer, like walmart, pride themselves in undarpaying their employees.
Most, if not all, Meijer stores are unionized, which is more you can say for Wal-mart.
A couple stores had late night employees accidently stock the shelves.
Almost certainly the case. The stock crew never seems to know what's going on in a particular department. Beyond checking what system a game is for they probably don't read the package.
Konqueror's (in KDE 3.1.*) "folder properties" dialog has a "local net sharing" tab. I'm not sure if it is of any use since I don't have any network sharing set up, but it's there.
Binary files (e.g..wma and.rar files) served by servers incorrectly sending text/plain should no longer be displayed as garbage in the browser, rather they should be appropriately handled.
The front DVD-wise was even worse. The distribution I was playing with, like most, took the safe route and supplied a version of the Xine DVD player that doesn't include the DMCA-violating dvdcss libraries. This means that all it's good for is playing unencrypted DVDs, like the Bar Mitzvah video your uncle Charlie gave you, but definitely not "Charlie's Angels II."
Sign of a Troll #1,203: Critizing people for obeying the law.
I was sent a form email pointing out that I could face disciplinary action for downloading copyrighted material. I suspect this was triggered by the 500kBs+ I was getting via Bittorrent. Paticularly since I rarely use other p2p software.
Surely they have to have a way of authenticating the cards, or otherwise there's going to be a horde of duplicates flooding the market.
I assume they could be activated the same way I've seen phone cards activate after purchase. They are read by the credit card reader which calls home and says card number $FOO has been purchased for $BAR dollars.
According to the page where Mandrake explains this advertising scheme, they claim to have 3 million downloads of each release and another million copies purchased. So I think the "nobody wants it" statement is a little inaccurate.
The 3.x versions block pop-ups (can't remember if 2.x does), but I think it's off by default. Look under the "Java & JavaScript" section in the settings dialog.
I'll second that. A musician buddy of mine is really interested in trying Linux, but until there's a replacement for Cool Edit Pro there's no point in him switching. Atfer all, what's the use of an OS that doesn't have the apps that caused you to get a computer in the first place?
Those proofs would problably cause Creationists some grief, and may even get them to stop arguing the infalablity of the Bible. But I think you misunderstood me; allow me to rephrase: explain how to prove that any event is free from the influence of an omnipotent being
Some link layers, notably those based on optical switching, may
bypass routers (and hence firewalls) entirely. Accordingly, some
link-layer scheme MUST be used to denote evil. This may involve evil
lambdas, evil polarizations, etc.

According to reports I've seen on MSNBC the number is closer to 30%.

From the Firefox 0.8 realease notes:
Oh, another option: develop the whole site in Flash - pixel perfect on every browser that supports Flash! :)
Yeah, the visually impaired probably didn't want to be able to use your site anyway.
If Mandrake is so incompatable why are they LSB certified?

No, they were just downloading Linux distro's.

According to the Divx page the version on the right is entirely free.
All the episodes, in both Divx and QT, can be found here.
You bastrad, you stole my comment.
In the case of the Michigan Tech student, at least, all he did was right a program to search what people had on the LAN.

Creationism is a valid scientific view point
When you can explain how Creationism can be proved false (a requirment for any scientific theory) your statement will be correct.
It's now possible for a story to be posted under multiple topics; see ComdrTaco's journal for moer info.
You raise a good point. I sugjest we perform some real world experiments.
Any interested ladies fitting the description in the parent post please contact me.
Anyone else have this strange desire to listen to Stravinsky.

For some reason, I doubt that's all that great of an accomplishment.
Maybe if it was a USB coffee pot...
