Because they're stupid.;)
No seriously though it is pretty much a waste of time asking them because after you ask them they will start quizzing you on why it was a stupid thing to do. This is when all logic is tossed out the window.
Besides, if we made them see their errors... who would we have to laugh at?:)
(Do I get bonus points for using 2 emoticons in the same post?;)) (Make that 3)
And it's not a new thing - people have been doing this for a long long time.

I believe it would be to save the rest of the world from the horror that the internet has become in the event that the US is wiped off the globe. Err wait, they can survive nuclear war... damn.
I covered my eyes after reading the legal stuff...
I just hope I didn't cover them too long and miss a "that site is/.'ed!" or "imagine a beowulf cluster of those!" post.
So you are one of the people trying to cram unnecessary products down the throats of "consumers", probably spamming all of us like crazy as well.
"Hey guys, I have an ultra-original idea... lets send e-mail with "Hi, I like be your friend!" in the subject line and advertise viagra in the message body!!!"
capitalism indeed.
And to top it off, that is a ROYALTY FREE image.
After all, a small struggling legitimate business such as Microsoft can't afford all those expensive images that aren't public domain.
While I can still see how people would want a 5-speed, I don't understand why the original post got troll moderation. The statement he made was both true and informative.
This may be an easter egg in the US model, and I am very happy to hear that it is still possible even though BMW supposedly got rid of it in the US model. It is called "launch control" and is a feature of the SMGII transmission which is a $2500 option on the M3 starting in 2002. Basically what was said in the first article I read about it was that US drivers were too dumb to have it (and this is a very true statement). On another note, I think BMW just sold another car because of this "easter egg" - the fact that I couldn't have launch control was a main factor in me not purchasing the car when I first heard about SMGII. Very cool stuff.
Could it be possible that Ballmer is related to Sloth from the Goonies?
By looking at him I would say yes, but he is too evil to be related to Sloth I think.
Wow, if this is news I must have been way ahead of my time. I was the kid in the class that the teacher asked for advice and pointed other students to when they had questions from grade school through high school. Those who can't do something, teach it.
Would not the first logical step be to transfer your data to a more stable media type such as DVD or CD? If kept in a fireproof safe, it isn't likely that the data will dissapear before there is a newer, even more stable media type to transfer it to.
Will it be illegal not answering the door to my house when someone is trying to sell me their religion? Will it be illegal not answering the phone when caller ID shows an advertising firm because in blocking the call with my mind, I would be committing a "thought crime" against advertisers?
I was in the area - the sky was bright, almost
blinding... my dog was barking like mad when the
'boom' was heard.

So what does this mean for their Linux+ program?
I use Maya on my Dual 1GHz G4 - now you know of someone using it on a mac. :-P

Moby's shortage of album sales could be contributed to his music taking a horrible turn about 2-3 years ago. Keep making excuses Moby.
