You use a light touch with a torsion bar. You should be exerting less force than a key ever would. It is not a brute force tool. It merely exerts a bit of lateral pressure against the pins so they do not fall when raking.

I actually asked one of my friends kids (15 yrs old btw) why they did the things they did (stuff like telling their father and mother to shut up). I'll never forget the only time I saw one of my friends tell his mom to shut up (we were 15). I smacked him across the face right there. His mom let him walk all over him his whole life. Up until that point he never even realized how spoiled he was. Up until he was mostly through college he never really understood respect. Many of the the things he said to people were hurtful (mostly about minor things) but he truly didn't understand why people made "such a big deal" out of it. Some kids, even generally good intentioned ones, need physical punishment. I am not advocating beating your kids, but sometime a small step above being grounded to your room with cable tv is in order. One more thing... Make sure it is clear to your kids what is expected of them before you ever resort to physical punishment, and be consistent about it. I've seen more than one parent flip-flop between being very lenient, and way too harsh. Your kid will just think you are an ass and not listen anyways because they don't know what your reaction will be. I really wish some parents knew the difference between instilling fear and teaching respect.

    From the eurocap FAQ page
In frontal impacts between cars, the occupants of the heavier car or the one with higher structures tend to fare better than those travelling in lighter lower cars. It should be noted though that higher vehicles tend to be less stable and consequently more likely to be involved in accidents, particularly those involving loss of control, where overturning or an impact with a roadside obstacle may occur. These effects are currently impossible to overcome. As most people decide on the size of the car to buy for other reasons, Euro NCAP only makes comparisons within size categories. The rating of a car within its size category is a function of the quality of its safety design.

The impact ratings are relative to size.

How safe are LCD and DLP TVs from this type of thing?

RTFA, the fires were caused by an arcing capacitor used in the ambilight system. The ambilight system has nothing to do with the plama technology, its just a rear lighting system projected on your back wall to help prevent the weird feeling you get from watching a large image (that and a marketing gimmick). This is more fire cause by a faulty ballast or capacator in a flourecent lighting system in your ceiling.
