    Black art.. no

It's more of a spiritual quest on the path to total enlightenment. Truly a study in the art of Zen.

The trick is learning how to configure it for hardware that will not work with it. Think about it.

Many radio stations have websites that you earn points on by answering questions about stuff they play/say at a specific time of day.

Mine records all of the countdowns (that happen while I work)

I redeam points, and earn lots of free tickets to concerts, that and it is usefull for recording select radio shows.

  8. Re:Be sure to also read.. on HP's Crossbar Latch... Next-Gen Transistor? · · Score: 3, Informative
Excerpt fromt the EE times article on it for the lazy :)
The latch consists of a single wire acting as a signal line, crossed by two control lines with an electrically switchable molecular-scale junction where they intersect. By applying a sequence of voltage impulses to the control lines and using switches oriented in opposite polarities, the latch can perform the NOT operation, which, along with AND and OR operations, the essential logic functions for general computing. In addition, the crossbar latch can restore a logic level in a circuit to a nominal voltage, which allows a designer to chain logic gates together to perform computations.

Furthermore, some of the most effective anti-spyware tools I have used have broken windows before. It is in Microsofts best interest to be carefull in their approach to this. If they break legitamite programs with their tool, they a looking at lawsuits (EULA or no) and they have money to go after.

Please save the bashing until this thing is released officially as non-beta.

  14. Re:Wrong Direction? Weight on Reinventing the Wheel · · Score: 1

While the twheel probably weighs a small amount more than a tire/wheel configuration.. I give you this. Up until very recently MOST cars had steel rims, now they are moving towards aluminum. The difference in weight between an aluminum and steel wheel is quite bit more than what will likely be lost due to the rubber fins. Also due to the construction of the twheel, it will be easier to make a forged spoked wheel as oppossed to the pressure cast ones used in most consumer cars. This will HELP to correct the small gain in weight. There are tons of things manufacturers can due to drop unsprung weight that they do not do in non-exotic cars. things like aluminum rotor hubs, lighter suspension components... etc. The only people feeling the weight issue are exotic owners and racing circuts.
