And I would like to add, from your reference, that if using the acronym tag, even IE (granted, 5+) will display it, although withouth the nice dashed underline Mozilla puts out.
Example: (hold mouse over to try)
PVR
Code for the example:
<acronym title="Personal Video Recorder">PVR</acronym>
Now for the problem: I just found out the hard way that Slashdot strips-out the acronym tag, d'oh! Editors, take note, this is something usefull!!!
Just to clear one point, the rocket that exploded is not intended for space exploration; it is the third generation of the "VLS - Veiculo Lancador de Satelites", or Satellite Launch Vehicle.
It is a rocket to boost satellites to orbit, a scientific and commercial endeavor, since being close to the Equator make the Alcantara base in Brazil a good launch site.
Most of what's wrong in ms-land is not in the kernel; is user apps (outlook, etc) and servers (iis...) with poor design decisions (executable code running from previewed emails anyone?)
1) The IIS is low orbit, that means that every now and then you have to boost it back to higher altitudes. That is expensive (fuel) and expense increases with the load attached.
2) As for hauling the Hubble, it is on a much higher orbit, enough higher that it is not feasible, even if it was desirable
3) GPS sats are NOT geo-sync. Geo-sync sats are those that maintain the same position relative to a point in Earth's surface. The TV and comm sats are examples of those. Their orbits are all over the equator line, and several thousand miles high.
www.bhphotovideo.com has 256MB SD cards from SANDISK priced at $70
at $0.27/MB that's the best "bang for the buck" I could get when I purchased memory for my digi-cam; YMMV;
As someone already said, MMC/SD is very nice being so small. But I rather have both CF and SD/MMC because there are some nice CF periferals (for memory it's just too bulky...)
I personally use StrokeIT, that gives me gestures at the desktop level, works with all apps (and you can configure "special" gestures to particular apps).
Remember that, as other mentioned already, the NASA program is the result of a genetic algorithm. It's not NASA doing the coding themselves, the program is the result of several generations of the algorithm being applied.
The technologies don't vary that much. In US you have mostly CDMA plus some TDMA, PCS and GSM. Provided you're switching to a provider that operates with a technology supported by your current phone, the only things preventing you from re-using it are:
1) New provider won't allow it (fix this with a law)
2) The hardware on the old phone is locked to the old network (the new provider can fix this with software patch)
Now those guys on open source are quick to fix things up aren't they? Way to go!
OTOH, M$ will only implement this in the next XP service pack, and I heard rummours they won't bother to fix it in Win2K, since it is too near it's end of life anyway.
I got about 200 spam messages since last night, most carry the same ~140K EXE attach, identified by norton as "Worm.Automat.AHB"
There should be a way to get a post to "+6 Insanely funny". You sir, woul get my mod points, if I had any;
That is a VERY GOOD suggestion, thanks.

All were hidden from the simple searches like this: s.l.a.s.h.d.o.t...o.r.g
It's not hidden. It's unicode (double-byte), just that;

Can I get my money back for that certain WinXP not working on my IBM clone?
...
I thought so, nevermind
The voting machine, running Microsoft?s Windows CE operating system, is extremely easy to navigate
I would rather have an open-source app running on a open-source OS.

Not in any way affiliated, just using it

Bite my shinny
That's the one application that actually benefits from a good-ol slashdot effect
it's interesting to see how Shawn stops pursuing a sports scholarship for college and instead focuses on computer programming.
Sounds familiar?

Any questions? see here: http://www.google.com/search?q=genetic%20algorithm s
Well, it better be *really* big if you want it to be stable enough to allow you to point a heavy dish to a precise point in space ...
Bundled software that encourages printing
:)
Yeah, I would love to see printers ship with decent audio editing packages for once

Nope, as many others mentioned already, a setlement sets no precendent.
Nothing to see here, move over.
thanks for the Beethoven mp3 ;)
As he said, if you mess with this stuff you already have it anyway, no need to account for it.
Keyboard navigation between tabs: CTRL+Tab, CRTL+Shift+Tab
There some (rare) instances in which it fails, that depends on the contents of the page. I haven't researched it enough to fill a bug report yet.

Mods, you can do better!
The parent is supposed to by +1 funny, not interesting. Please RTFA, it is nothing like that anyway!
The whole qatsi triologi, but special kudos for Koyaanisqatsi.
