    Game Programming is taught at SMU/Dallas, DeVry, Westwood, ...etc. Used book stores are full of used (and not used) text books from these schools.

    I don't see who can teach imagination or innovation.

    The games all look the same.

    Let's shoot with hi-tech assault weapon, magic power, futuristic blasting spear, yada-yada-yada.

    I lived in Surrey UK for 3 years. My house and work had buried power/telephone cables.

    When an outage occurred at home, it took at two days for cables to be unburied, repaired, and reburied. Road traffic was disrupted, Lawns torn up. And NO POWER!

    At work we found the cable was not where it was supposed to be. Mislabeled drawings over 20 years old.

    Farms had overhead cables were repaired in hours!

    In flood areas, buried power cables will float to the survace.

    Two years ago I took a class at DeVry. A required tech reference was online, ($155.00 user registration//no buyback). Not used by instructor. All that bought the user registration could not sell it back and useless to subsequent classes.

    1. Short, shielded test leads from experiment to test equipment.

    2. Test lead shields grounded at ONE point and ONE point ONLY.

    3. DO NOT use serial cables (RS-232, USB, etc.) between test equipment and computer.

    4. Spectrometer? Sensitive to noise from computer? Make sure all equipment covers are in place and fastened!

    5. Fluorescent Lights can be a problem to investigate and identify.

    6. One electric power phase. I once spent a couple frustrating hours to find side by side outlets were on different phases. Quality power strips are a must!!
