    GPS will show errors/changes in old maps. Uncharted villages maybe nomadic. Rivers change course, lakes dry, and villages move. That's life!

    Substance and Soul movies do not make money. Hollywood is about the $money$. Hollywood has to pay the mindle$$ actors to perform in mindle$$ crap.

    Actor$ are expert at "performing as directed", not the subject of the performance.

    These actors then appear on any and every star-worshipping television show to proselytize a science-fiction religion or world peace thru a high-fiber diet.

    Another global disaster that chooses which data to use. If it is a GLOBAL issue, why do arctic and antartic mean temperatures decrease? Why do mean rural temperatures decrease? The ozone hole is not growing larger, it fuluctuates in size and the mean size has not increased significantly in 10 years!

    If people want to use less petroleum products, do it! Don't do it using global warming misinformation as an excuse!

    I have worked with SAIC on different projects.

    IMHO SAIC delivered the Feds a package that exceeded the minimum requirement for the prototype. It has to interface with the old, slow existing system.

    L1 is the signal civilian GPS signal used in your handheld GPS receiver or installed your car. This one Clinton made more accurate for everyone.

    L2 is encrypted for use by US military and is extremely accurate. This system guides cruise missiles down smokestacks.

    Turning off L1 would unsync timing signals to computer networks using GPS as Stratum 1 timing.

    our immature computer laws suck.

    This is an excellent summation. Computer crimes are very much frontier justice. As laws mature, punishments become much lighter and easier on the criminal, i.e. horse thieves are not shot on the spot.
